I saw the MSI Prestige 15 is also pretty good.

Hmm..what are the laptops I can look out for for the coming 3 months?

Thanks!

Prestige 15 has decent enough GPU but CPU performance is behind Ryzen 4000

There are a few models unveiled, some with Ryzen 4000 but don't have quicksync (which might help in the programs you use)

Hi Sifus, need help on laptop recommendation for a college student:
1. Budget : RM1.8K (maybe can add ard RM100 - 200 if necessary)
2. Usage : Mass Comm student, mostly course work and MS office application and video editing, surfing and for watching movies
3. Screen : best according to the price.
4. Size: 14-15 inch.
5. Weight: Lower than 2kg
5. Battery: about 5 - 6 hours if can

Overall top priority for this purchase is the Performance and Screen quality good keyboard for typing.

I am looking between these 2 models

Acer Swift 3 SF314-42
Asus VivoBook S14 M433 IA

Does the Swift 3 support thunderbolt 3? I am finding conflicting information, some sources say yes while others say only DP & charging. I think it is due to thunderbolt 3 being supported on the Intel ver, but would like some confirmation.

On the other hand Vivobook S14 is only for data transfer., also not found on any online store yet.

which 1 would be recommended?

By performance you mean system responsiveness?

Fine with low sRGB display?

AMD laptops will not have Thunderbolt 3

Swift 3 is a better package overall

Looking to buy Lenovo budget casual gaming laptop in next few weeks.

Through the latest Ideapad Gaming3i would coming soon, should I wait this or opt for existing line(L340 gaming or Legion Y7000)?

Budget wise, around RM3k-3.5k
