I travel a lot, hence I place priority on portability and good battery life (6 hours).

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc):
Thin & Light Gaming Laptop, with understated design.
15.6" Display (Color calibrated, AdobeRGB is acceptable, sRGB > 70%)
144Hz Refresh Rate, minimum.
RTX2070 minimum
16GB RAM
512GB SSD minimum
Battery life 6hours minimum (with refresh rate set at 60Hz, and Nvidia optimus set to utilize Intel UHD).
Weight < 2.5kg
Prefer Keyboard with NO NUMBPAD

I have a few models in mind..
1. MSI GS66
2. Gigabyte Aero 15 Classic
3. Asus Zephyrus S (GX701 I think with the front keyboard + side touchpad)
4. Asus ROG G14 < This is a wildcard, but was hoping it could be offered up to RTX2070, or if its priced at RM6,000, it can be a good option.

Hello, hope that someone can help to recommend me a laptop. Below are the requirements.

1. Budget : Below RM3k, cheaper is better
2. Usage  : Document works, light photo editing somtimes
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : no requirement on display size, decent battery life, light weight.

My priority is for reliability, I'm willing to sacrifice some specs to remain within the RM 5 - 7k range. I'm really looking for a model that can last hassle free for at least 4 years.

I'm currently using a Macbook Air purchased in Dec 2014, that I've never had any issues with so that's my benchmark right now. Unfortunately, new Macs are now way too damn expensive lol.

Thunderbolt i mean whether can charge with powerbank or charge phone or in the future able to use egpu
budget 2xxx-3xxx but if 4k abv might rather opt to laptop with rtx 2060 or gtx 1660ti

Even business laptops usually have higher reliability, they also have lemon units

-you can use regular USB C to charge powerbank / phone
-RM4k you won't get 1660Ti/2060 laptops with TB3
-if you plan to use eGPU, need to get x4 PCIe lanes TB3, which most of them (Ultrabooks) are without dGPU

I guess you need to make some sacrifices here
