i think you're referring to those chord diagrams (uses diagram of strings and fret and dots to represent where to press the strings) instead of tablatures (using numbers to represent fret locations) am i right? usually can find diagrams in guitar beginners books...

as for using 1 or 2 finger actually depends on the individual.... and some chords needs you to hold 3-4 strings using 1 finger... sometimes all the strings with 1 finger...

i think the best way is to have a picture guide along with each chord diagram... if the book only shows the diagram and doesn't have a picture of how to hold the chord then u'll have a hard time trying to figure it out...

another best way is to learn directly from other guitarist.... smile.gif

-----E
--o---B
--o---G
---o--D
----o-A
----o-E

o represnts the dots. The above one is the chord i am confused. I think common sense use index to press the two string together and use ring and pinkie to press G and B string. I am right?

Thanks Mr.SweetTooth for ur explanation.

@Mr. hotfootpowder, yeah that is what i exactly refer to

Got a problem here.

I was trying to record a guitar track.

Guitar > amp (micro cube) > soundcard (amp headphone out to soundcard mic in)

When I play back the recorded sound, it was just does not sound right. The sound/volume seems to go up and down.

Any help?

I use super light as well, but I feel like the high E is a bit too thin..Might try thicker strings someday.

Btw, can anyone recommend me any fusion guitarists to listen to?

Paco De Lucia's a flamenco guitarist lar... laugh.gif

And don't forget abt Al Di Meola and Frank Gambale (Whose work could be heard on recent Chick's Electric Band work).

You should ask eq777, he's a fan of fusion stuff. biggrin.gif
