What's ur string gauge? U need to use heavier ones to downtune.

did you set it up properly? cances are. . . you're bridge is floating upwards. . . thus the string tension is all out. . . making it hard cause the strings are just too flabby. . .

if you drop tune everything, you have to hit the strings harder to get the pinch harmonics.
i've used 11 gauge and drop to B-standard for carcass stuff before, still real flabby.
go listen to early carcass and you can hear what a flabby pinch harmonic sounds like, its different from one in regular tuning.

about gauges, i used to play on 9-42 and Drop C tuning is fine, a little bit saggy(just a little). now i play on 10-46 thumbup.gif
next time i restring i think i'll go on 10-52's

the thing is his guitar is a floyd. . . you still need to set it up some way or another or the bridge will just be floating there thus harder to hit the spot right?

i would say more technique.
even high action caused by bridge pulling up also can do pinch harmonics.

u playing 10-52 on standard?
i wouldn't recommend that

it'd be fine on drop tuning
but u most prolly bend ur neck if u go 10-52 on std tuning

need to adjust the truss rod
