aye , 9 are super light?

what gauges you chaps use, i know certain guitarists are against light/ SL gauge strings. i think i got too used to it that well i cant think of using any other.

i'm using 10-46(light) now.
wanted to switch to 10-52 but sean said it might warp my neck, so i might reconsider

I use super light as well, but I feel like the high E is a bit too thin..Might try thicker strings someday.

Btw, can anyone recommend me any fusion guitarists to listen to?

Ive just changed my strings from D'addario 9-42 super light to Ernie Ball 10-46 light. After changing the strings, my FR tremolo 'buckled' coz the new heavier strings pull the FR so strong. Tried as much as I can, I cant make my FR horizontal as should. So, I had to add an extra spring to pull my FR to the proper horizontal position to counter the tension from the new heavier string set.

Also I did some adjustment to the truss rod coz on the lower strings eg low E string, buzzing occur at higher frets.

Preference on super light or light string set... ermm... still cant say for certain which one I prefer, but I do miss the super light on the thin high E and B strings. unsure.gif

like BB king once told another famous guitarist (at the moment, I can't think of the name)......

BB: Why are you playing with such thick strings?
Other guy: Makes my sound louder.
BB: If you want louder, just turn up the amplifier!

anyone seen the alexi-200 "signature" guitar?
i think its kind of a rip off, doesn't even look like a signature.
doesn't have the pinstripes, or even a signature on the guitar, only ALEXI-200 on the truss rod cover.

guitar collection selling for RM2.8k IIRC. for that price i'd rather buy so many other guitars. its going for USD420 at musicians friend only(much more reasonable price)

long time tak kacau this forum, wanna ask if my pinch harmonic is not loud or 'obvious' enuf..issit because of the pickups as well?hmm or the distortion settings?

talking about the strings...i suggest u guys change the gauge after u master the current gauge in terms of everything...

If you want the Zakk-esque or even dimebag's pinch squeals, you gotta use Humbuckers in the bridge position first of all.

And it helps if you use thicker strings and drop tuned as well to get the rich P.O.D......
