dunno how to answer you le, it's like "how to use masking tape properly?"

At least tell us what u want to use it for. Or is this your question? If it was, then pla plate can be use , when cut to desire shapes, to add details to your kits, scratch build something totally new or cant found in your box of model, adding extra shapes to your models, giving supports to extra parts of your model etc etc.

It's just like a piece of plywood to a carpenter. U can imagine what he can use the pla plate for. biggrin.gif

so for the wings its epoxy first then pla plate?

u noe what, i feel like asking something totally noob xDD how do you actually use pla plate? all my experiments sort of well, suck xDD
*
nope, pla plate 1st then epoxy...pla-plate use to get the 'base' n shape later sapu the eposy on it,then sand it.....

use pla-plate?hehe....somtime it is hard to cut it straight,i usually cut it a lil bit bigger than the shape that i want, glue n paste it on the surface, after the glue was nearly dry, then cut the plate carefully to ur desired shape...hehe,1st time use it.......

for learning how to scratch build u need to know few thing 1st :

- how u want the shape to be like by draw it out on a paper in diff angle

- dissemble or flatten the design u drawn out ( flatten here mean like flatten a paper box )

- only then u can start cutting out the pla plate by follow the shape or drawing u have flatten and sticking it together

if u scare ur wasting pla plate then u can start of using paper of card board ...
