there was a software tat i used last time when my hdd crashed, but i forgot the name already
maybe u can try asking in the software section, the sifus there are more pro about softwares, i got the program from there too last time

remember, u'll be fine for using illegal softwares/OS, but only when they catch u

heres the card that ive interested with :

-PowerColor HD3850 DDR3 256MB / 256bit
-MSI 8800GT-OverClock Version 256MB / 256bit
-XFX 8800GT 256MB / 256bit

my current 7600GS 256mb 128 bit really make the fps drop too much when im playing online LFS with more than 11 cars on the grid. personally, i know NOTHING about these 3 GC's. the only reason i pick them is because they are in my budget (at least that what ive found from pcdepot's website which is at 600-750) .

so, did any sifoo here has a better option? or what is the best between those 3? i pick those with 256 bit. is there much different IF i pick the 128 bit ?

if can suggest the better card with lower price i will be MORE THAN HAPPY!!

MSI 8800GT overclock version or the XFX 8800GT, since both r 8800GT, u can compare their core clock and other clock, but i think overclock version will be better since it is same price range and can perform a little bit faster than stock

My graphic card just gave up on me this morning. HURRAY Now i am looking for a suitable graphic card so i play C&C 3. Can you guys recommend me one which is not so expensive?

My current PC spec is:

Motherboard : MS-7142
Processor : AMD Athlon™ 64 2800+ 1800mhz
Memory : 512mb DDR

I have a feeling, i need to upgrade something else in order to play C&C 3...

wat's ur budget first? i think 8600GT can ply C&C3 with descent performance i think, price is about 350-400

hmm about gc.... what is the different when you have 128mb...128 bit...
e.g is a 256mb with 64 bit better than 128mb with 128 bit....
i'm always confused....

Always go with the bigger bits. Only higher end card have over 256-bit memory, while most mid-range cards have 128-bit.

And other question you might interest to is between more memory low speed vs low memory high speed like 512MB DDR2 vs 256MB DDR3 8600GT, always buy the faster speed with less memory

the bits is the bandwidth of the memory, the higher the bandwidth the faster the speed, 128mb or 256mb doesnt really that important.

can ply, depends more on ur graphic card, processor is for loading time and for the in-game physics

I would like to know, whether can my m/board (MS-7142) support and fully utilize the PCI gc? I have been using AGP since day 1. And, my gawd, there more PCI gc out there compare to AGP.

Najmods mention to choose the higher bit rate and the faster speed with less memory. But, there are so many brands out there, got Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire, MSI, etc. Which brand is preferred for gaming?

My budget is around RM 500.

bro...got a problem here...my comp always restart and blue screen while i'm playing games...but, this will happen only when i'm playing dota warcraft...other than that game such as prostreet, driver, i never got that blue screen problem...i also cannot install my usb wireless...it also blue screen before the installation is finish...i already format my comp and this problem still occurs...so, is this problem of my hdd or is this related to my mobo? i already updated my mobo bios but still the same...help me plz...

im using 160 gb sata hdd & 250 gb sata2 hdd..
the problem is, sometime my pc cannot recognize the sata2 hdd..if can, one of my drive partition will missing..
fyi, i use jumper on my sata2 hdd..2gb ram..amd x2 3800

You out of luck, PCIe graphics card cant be inserted to AGP slot and vice versa.

About brand, some chipset have guidelines, for example 7600GT MUST run at 560MHz core with 1400MHz memory to use the GT name. Some manufacturer might overclock or use different PCB/layout and might even use different HSF. All of this are unimportant if you don't overclock, just buy the cheapest one, brand is almost unimportant nowadays

And I don't know any AGP card that costs M500, I don't bother with AGP, sorry look at garage sales, you might get lucky there

AGP cannot support PCI-e, both r different, if ur mobo only support AGP then u hv to use back AGP card, if u want to change to PCI-E then u need to change the whole mobo. brand is not a important part if u're not going to overclock ur card or do somethings extreme on it.

wat is the message on the blue screen? refer to the pinned thread in technical support section, i dont think ur problem is a noob problem.

ur HDD jumper lar, try to plug the cable in different slot on the mobo.

i think u can just download it from microsoft website.

xp sp2 is just a update pack for xp....installing it won't change ur OS
if u have been keeping ur windows xp updated every week when updates are released, u hardly need sp2....
