I tried your tip, in the end the support personnel hound me everyday asking me when I want to place order  icon_question.gif

And the code they used was BESTBUYMY anyways.  biggrin.gif

They help you find the best deal already .
If you don't want, you just tell them you are not going ahead with the purchase as you found other better deals.

Just wanted to know then what they buy? They custom built? I wonder if buy desktop from Lenovo is actually less worth it?

Most people buy custom built gaming PC
If you're looking at the after sales support, yes Lenovo wins over custom built PC because depending on the type of warranty that you buy, you can get Lenovo tech support to repair/replace hardware at your office/home
Whereas you don't get this kind of support with any custom built PC

Pricing wise, ofcourse Lenovo is more expensive because of the after sales support

Thank you so much SHawTy for the kind clarification.

But then I thought if custom built at outside store, normally also comes with some form of warranty and support too? Just I believe maybe the differences is they don't come to my house and I needed to bring the desktop over to their shop.

Sorry for asking all these, I am relatively new in this and would like to understand more notworthy.gif

Exactly
Buy from Lenovo : You get advance warranty with onsite support. Means any issue with the hardware, you just have to give Lenovo helpline a call / submit a ticket in their system / email them and they go to your place to fix the issue usually in 1 ~ 3 working days
Buy from local store : Get standard warranty with no onsite support. Means you have to bring the whole PC or the specific hardware to the store to claim warranty & wait between 2 - 4 weeks for a replacement part

The difference is how much are you willing to pay for the onsite support because Lenovo gives several types:
(Depot Support doesn't count as you have to send it back to Lenovo)

Based on the listing for that model, the best value is Premium Care Support 3 yr at RM150 (no brainer). Note that this differs for each model. I'd choose the best value for the buck, for on-site.
