jus wana share with ur guys, my pearl got this 1 strange behavior..at the corner of my tank got a pile of opened kuaci buried under the woodshavings..can see the kuacis from outside..suddenly saw my pearl go there and update his kuaci stock..then buried them back..i think he scared my agouti steal his kuaci..i provide so many kuaci to them n he still greedy..lol..cute aight??

Jack Jack does this also... He would take all the food from the bowl and hide it in a corner under the beddings...

Don't provide too much kuaci for them as it is not good for them if too much. Now I try to put less kuaci and make them eat others from the Prestige Hamster food. But they will usually eat the kuaci first then no more will eat others

Oh.... is not greedy lah..... the word hamster has a meaning. It means "hoarder"... and that means to keep things. A hamster has an instinct to get all their food to 1 corner. In the wild, it is like a food storage, like how we humans got fridge and cupboards.... so each hamster would have their own hoard....

Kuaci is high in fat, so control the amount you give.

All hamsters love kuaci.... oh, once I bought 2 hamsters who dunno how to eat kuaci.... sadly they died, I suspect liver failure coz for their whole lives since babies, they have been eating dogfood at the petshop.... pure dogfood and catfood, no seeds, no veggie..... poor things rite? I got them as adults so imagine, 6 months eating dogfood.... when I pour my mix for them, they only eat the few pieces of dogfood, never touch any seeds.... veggie is like alien to them.

crazymouse, u shud go check out the stall at the curve. I actually got the pudding and WW normal on Sat. Then next day the WW died, I think cos he was too small also. Puding is big lor. Then I asked for replacement lor, not my fault really cos only 1 night, it could be cos they are just 2 weeks old (I also stupid leh... didnt know about all this also ). Then when I got WW Pearl, I got to add another RM6 lor... The hamsters look happy la... but when I know 2 weeks is too small to sell and separated from mom, then u go there ALL hamsters (Chinese, robo, WW) are 2 weeks old lehhhh...

I just replace my Bengy feed with Habitrail feed. Is it better?

No, the most they do is, nibble2 my fingers... for someone who is scared from biting, that already gimme jitters. My bad experience come from my friend hamsters, he has like infestation already lor, the hamsters not tame anymore I think... I innocent2 happy put my hands inside the tanks... then NGAP!!!!! *shudders*
Well, the thing is, after I got my syrian last night, I realised it was a mistake for a wussy like me to get dwarfs. But I think the most reason I got them was they were soooooooooo cute, little thing, very friendly also. Well, they were only 2 weeks old, of course they dont know anything... sigh.

Now they are big and fat and healthy, heheheh very active run here, run there. Eat eat eat eat, shit shit shit shit, hahahahahah! I'm having a hard time to catch them.. first cos i scared they bite... wash my hands all everytime then they very sneaky, very elusive from my catching hands, hahah!

Now I read if they smell other hamsters smell, they will bite... isit?

prestige of course la the best one..
habitral is the best from the cheap brand (eg: delikate..)

i mix various brand of mixed food for my hamster/ gerbil food..
prestige + harry hamster + habitral + hoppel mobbel + kaytee + britter bunny

Ooooooh! Hmmm, I think I shud do that too... I will get bored getting the same food throughout my life, haha.

PS hamsters r one of the bests in PJ i think. Of coz other than Nezu's special breeds.

I was in Cheras Giant Taman "Connaught"(sorry dunno how to spell, residents there please don't mind), the downstairs shopping center there for a walk b4 my lunch, saw 2 pet stores, 1 with bearbear syrians and another with smaller size syrians. Lots of robos, WW. Din dare to take pics, after kena chase by the bosses there hahaha

1 of the WW smell my index finger, then it just minded its own biz, lucky din kena bite. hahaha, quite tame it looks.

Then usual la, got kids there, the boss was like asking the parents to get 2, so that its not so bored. hahahha
