I got this message as well.

I suspect this is a 'soft ban' on particular credit card.
I am saying this because it happens to one of my credit cards that I used on my account and also on my mum's account.
However I was able to use another credit card to top up my account.

So
>account is not banned
>credit card top up method is not banned
>only particular credit card top up is banned

Trying to figure out how to avoid this 'soft ban'.

it could be PBB's unsecured txn enforcement @ 1 May 2023?

this was due to previous ipay88 fiasco that caused many card details exposed and facing many fraud txn attempt.

for example, pbb flagged my card from being used for any online txn. no way to re-enable online txn. they forced me to replace the card FOC. this is one way to brute -force replace all impacted cards.

better check with PBB if your card being flagged to be 'unsecured'

it hasn't reach the bank verification page yet, so i believe it's due to the soft ban by shopee since using the same card on 2 different accounts

For my case, I confirm that I only use the card on 1 shopee account. Now dont know rectified already or not as didnt try.

I use another credit card for shopeepay topup purpose. In fact very seldom use ShopeePay to checkout.
Most of the time use Maybank-Shopee visa card for discount on Tuesday (RM150-20) and 2X coins.

every email to Shopee to follow up the issue will be replied by different CS and after few emails they will ask you to do the same things again like the first few emails. hahaha really bunch of brainless CS.

Not online merchant, but there is an option to utilise coins to offset up to 50% of payment when you choose "Show QR Code/Barcode" for payment (instead of scan the merchant's QR). The toggle appears below the "Wallet Balance" and "Use Voucher" row under the QR code. I have used this at Giant last week, probably works for any merchant that scans your displayed Shopeepay QR Code/Barcode.

it is also true for those online merchant i listed.
