RM5k you won't find a decent MSI model, not to mention that MSI models are overpriced nowadays while cooling solution is becoming worse than competitors due to no improvement

Any chance that Legion 5 will be on retail? Any 144Hz Legion 5 soon, just wondering.

So far, only Legion 5 has better thermal design? Thank you.

hi, i research alot about illegear selenite and asus rog strix scar 3, my question is which 1 better ? if both go with the same upgrade to 500 GB SSD + 1 TB SSD drive, RTX 2060 6GB graphic card, 2 x 8 Ram, rog strx scar 3 only have 9th generation intel while selenite is 10th generation, is that big difference? also compare their price, which 1 better

May I know your budget? Usage? Any preferences on weight and battery life?
Sorry i wasn't clear.

Budget RM7000.
plan to use it for gaming while my kids can also use it for their online learning and also function as the 'family' laptop. i'm waiting for the new ryzen desktop chip to build a proper game rig at the end of the year. usage will be mainly at home so i'll say performance:value > weight > battery life.

as a mac user for the past 15 years, i'll be happy to be able to game at med/high settings on FHD.

If you're set on these 2 options, I would go for Selenite due to excellent cooling

It's fine

Preferred max weight in kg and min battery life in hours? (rough figures will do)

Sifu ZMFong, may I check if there is a big difference for ram speed of 2666mhz vs 2933mhz for performance? I notice that some intel 10th gen are selling with 2933mhz and some with 2666mhz...

For AAA gaming, does it play an important role for the 267mhz difference ?

the difference is minimal

my guess is Ryzen would be benefited slightly more from memory speed/timings

How much for the i5 + 2060 from Lenovo web? Mind share? Including with freebie?

I'm wondering is it sufficient enuf run AAA game for next few years?

For me, theres no really freebie after using the LENXCIMB coupon code except the 2 year warranty. Price after using LENXCIMB coupon code and 2 years warranty is RM4560.20

hmmm.. yesterday i still managed to use the LENXCIMB code and then added in RM 1 for the 2yr premium care, mouse and laptop bag.. as i can recall, i did reviewed my order a few times, clicking away the unwanted stuff (like head set & monitor) and then reapply the code in caps. i did not use the lenovo pre-order page, tho (mb thats the diff?). Since i was eyeing the 17 inch version, i navigated to the purchase and product selection page via their usual website (https://www.lenovo.com/my/en/legion/#blade-products). the pre-order page like macam not applicable to the unit i was eyeing

edit: added in some info in the last sentence
