Looks promising. Shall I wait for the coming June promotion ? https://lenovo.my/legionpreorder/

Or wait other brand to offer new AMD laptop? The new MSI Bravo looks cool with the RGB per key. Will use it for photo editing and gaming (GTA, Red Dead Redemptions 2,need for speed)

1650Ti isn't worth the money, 4600H aldy good enough for games

Like others mentioned, will suggest going for at least 1660Ti

Hi guys. i would like to purchase a gaming laptop with the below preferences:

- budget less than 5k if possible. 5.5k max
- prefer models that i can order now (prefer not to wait for upcoming models)
- any weight is fine (dont mind if its heavy)
- games that i am playing / plan to play : 7 days to die, GTA V, red dead redemption 2, doom eternal, call of duty warzone...
- prefer a 17 inch gaming laptop, if possible..

so far, looks like Illegear Rogue series seems to fit all the bills above. will it be a good buy? noted that it wasnt listed at the 'recommended list'

i was also looking at legion 5 - 17, but it only offer gtx1650ti.. albeit 300- 400 cheaper (with LENXCIMB coupon). Or... is gtx1650ti actualy is enough to play the games above for high gaming settings?

thx guys

thanks guys

Since you prefer 17 inch, options aren't that much anyway

I would suggest getting at least 1660Ti for your budget. 1650Ti isn't worth the money as it's just slightly faster than 1650. Consider these:
Lenovo Legion 5i 17 81Y80037MJ (use code LENXCIMB)
Illegear Rogue

Illegear Rogue is in the list, under thin and light 17 inch

Intel laptop i7+2060 i have interest now is illegear prodigy and legion 5i. Prodigy have advantage on slim thin 1.8kg 63w battery 500g 144hz 72%nt, while legion 5i gives 2.5kg 80w battery 1tb+256g 240hz 100%sgrb. Both cost around 5.1k which past my borderline haizz.

Really hesitating whether should instead waits for legion 5 4600+2060 man, it should be more affordable around 4.4k .

Just notice some bugs with the Legion 5 15 model on the Lenovo website:

R5 4600H (Before doing any changes on the cpu):
Only SSDs are available for the first storage

After changing from R5 to R7 then change back to R5:
There are HDD options for the first drive storage

They actually had better deal previously for last gen model.
I got i7, 144hz display, 32GB ram, 1tb ssd + 1tb hdd, rtx 2060 for rm4.4k last year haha. The current lineup is more expensive actually I think because they bundled office now.

If you don't need thin and light, consider non thin and light options like Legion 5i. No 240Hz for Legion 5i, actual weight is around 2.3kg (1650/1650Ti) and around 2.5kg (1660Ti/2060). Note that Malaysia market do not offer 80Wh battery for Legion 5i for now. If you want 80Wh battery, can take a look at Legion 5Pi, however 1660Ti/2060 option will only available after, probably in June

Probably bug. Note that if you choose SSD in first storage, second storage will display your first storage (instead of having 2 SSDs) and battery will be upgraded to 80Wh

I think the code is broken for RM1 upgrades except warranty upgrade, so best to not tick any RM1 upgrades for now - only upgrade warranty
