Was researching about illegear after reading 52 pages of complain on 2 months order lead time, it made me have second thought... anyone ordered onyx or selenite and experienced 2 months delayed? Or it’s just Raven series?

Aside to Illegear team..
is the selenite or onyx in stock? Considering to get one, if it’s in stock.

Hi jason111785

We had indeed encountered a setback previously due to stock shortage issue but it has been sorted out (most of the 10th Gen models have arrived) and we are now back to our normal lead time for order processing! rclxm9.gif

As per checking, the Onyx V & Selenite G are now in stock smile.gif May I know which version in particular are you currently looking for?

Hi guys biggrin.gif ,

This is my first time using lowyat forum though. Planning to purchase Selenite G soon. Just checked on Illegear website and found a new model - Ares V.
Would like to seek for advise for these two model since they have almost the same price for the following spec.

Ideal Spec for Ares V :
Processor : Ryzen 9 3950X
Ram : 2X8GB 2666Mhz DDR4 Dual Channel
Graphic : RTX 2070 8GB
Storage : 512GB m.2 PCie NVMe SSD
Network Card : Killer WiFi 6 AX1650
OS : Windows 10 Pro

Ideal Spec for Selenite G :
Display : 240Hz FHD Anti-glare IPS NTSC 72%
Processor : i7 10875H
Ram : 2X8GB 2666Mhz DDR4 Dual Channel
Graphic : RTX 2070 Super 8GB
Storage : 512GB m.2 PCie NVMe SSD
Network Card : Killer WiFi 6 AX1650
OS : Windows 10 Pro
Additional Purchase : Battery Upgrade Pack 63Wh

For Ares V , the price doesn't include backpack and velvet sleeve ?
Is the TDP remain as default ( 105W ) or will be lowered to 60W ?
If the TDP has been lowered to 60W , what's the base clock speed and turbo clock speed ?
What's the temperature of the processor when full load ?
Since Ares V is using desktop processor , it should consume more power than a normal notebook processor , how long will the 63Wh battery last ?
Which model worth more regards the pricing ?

It would be better if can state the differences between these two model as well. rclxm9.gif

Hi. I'm helping out my brother buying his first gaming laptop. This is the first time we heard about Illegear and based on my brother's budget of around 5K, he narrowed down to Onyx V or Prodigy. Does the 5% cash discount means he need to pay in cold hard cash, bank transfer or full credit card payment?

looks about the same for me as well (Selenite i7-9750H). I think if the differences are under 10°C you should be ok.

Hi,

CPU TDP is capped at 65W.

The battery life of ARES V is worse than SELENITE G, because of high power consumption.

Both are very different models, one focus on pure processing power while another one focus on thin & light and has extra features like mechanical keyboard and thunderbolt3.

The temperature looks fine, is the repasting job done by ILLEGEAR?
