So far I can only say good things about the Xbox Series X over the PS5. At least this time I think they are well prepared, unlike Sony which looks like they are rushing to get things done.
Only the exclusive I think PS5 is the better choice for now. But with Microsoft acquiring Bethesda and the likes, they got some good stuff coming their way if they decide to make it exclusive as well

i believe xbox series x is more like a day 1 grab for me instead of ps5, cos the launching title for ps5 is so meh and 1440p spider man remaster LOL.. really eye-drooping. maybe wait later for better ps5 exclusive come out only get ps5 also a wise choice.
I dont have any reason to buy ps5 day 1, unless wan to play ps4 game on ps5, but seems like save games cant even carry forward if not mistaken. xbox smart delivery can do it seamlessly with no problem at all.
The graphical fidelity on the PS4 is already great.
What PS5 pushes is merely small graphical enhancement, better resolution and more framerates.
There's no 'Wow' factor to but it day 1 unlike the PS1 to PS2, the PS2 to PS3 and also the PS3 to PS4.
PS4 is great? i dont think so. look at ff7 remake, u can see how they use up most processing power on character and the background looks like ps3 man.
admit it looks dated already. raytracing implemented correctly is really great, it is not about reflection only. the lighting shining in from window etc all is so much diff, and alot of those lighting is "pre-made" now, thats why it looks fake-ish after sometime. raytracing is real time

I agree with you. Newer tech will always look better.
My point is when you're playing on PS5, it won't be difficult to look back on games that are played on PS4 as compared to PS3, PS2 and PS1.
Those who wish for better graphics should wait for idk PS8 or something lol. Atm it's more about going at least 4k, and in the future 8k with better frame rates.
Development cost is already massive for making games, I don't think devs are willing to go even further in terms of expenses, unless you guys don't mind 100usd for a game or something.

Surely it's cheaper for a live action interactive game than a cg to make if look alike live action.
For me I just want the higher FPS, I am already locked into this platform because of buying multiple PS + that is gonna last for another 3 years I think LOL
How about xbox series x? I just survey around and notice the gamepass ultimate is the deal breaker. It can support dolby vision & atmos too. Are you getting 3080 as well?
Series X looks enticing, but since it has gamepass ultimate, why would I buy it when their games will also be available on PC? Why not just, play it on a PC?
Yes I'm getting a 3080. This may very well be the generation where I quit console gaming altogether.
