Pretty much confirmed that we can’t use DS4 on PS5 games.
But we could use the PS3 PSmove controller on VR games for the ps5. At least they’re continuing support for their gold and platinum headset. |

with the adaptive triggers, I'm having serious doubt the battery life can be better than the existing DS4, I think the most will be on par only.
Jamming up the trigger in certain games is a novelty idea, but in the long run IMO it might caused high wear & tear of the trigger servo motor & it's mechanism, ending with lots of dead R2 |

The battery in Dsense is apparently only 1526mAh.
Get your wallets ready for 2 extra controllers again. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Aug 23 2020, 11:48 PM |

I mean our thin phone is able to have much better battery. If not technical issue, must be cost issue then, or they simply want to sell more controller..Get your wallets ready for 2 extra controllers again. |

IINM DS4 is using 1000mAh only
DualSense is 1526mAh, so that's a 50% increase, minus off the bright light bar which is the juice waster but with adaptive triggers which will consume more juice, I would say batt life should be similar to DS4 |

Both, but it's really more of a cost issue.Yes, selling more peripherals is what will make up for the loss in the console's hardware cost. Pretty sure both Sony and MS will be losing money on their console this time around just like they did before in the PS3/360 days. QUOTE(greyshadow @ Aug 25 2020, 11:30 AM) IINM DS4 is using 1000mAh only It's not that simple though. The light bar hasn't been "minus" off, it's just been moved to within the touchpad area. There's still light on the Dsense.DualSense is 1526mAh, so that's a 50% increase, minus off the bright light bar which is the juice waster but with adaptive triggers which will consume more juice, I would say batt life should be similar to DS4 I think the feature to take the most battery life is the haptic feedback along with the standard vibration motors. Sony will probably say that the Desense will support quick charge anyways with the help USB C, so you shouldn't have as much of a downtime as you would with the DS4. |

First, the official launch by Sony M'sia will have very limited stocks
Second, it's likely there will be worldwide shortage during and shortly after launch Third, expect the price will went sky high until Sony can solve their supply issues |
