When u review the mini 0906 pro, do us a favor and say a few words so we can hear how sensitive the mic is.

Suggest not go for x9, it doesn't perform as its price.

Does the app work with iOS? Understand some apps work better for the android and vice versa. May I know how does the app work in locating the car when the car is off? Is it purely gps?

Ok I have some selections after some research and talking with people... would be good if I can have your opinion too. Both are below 2k with installation.

Thinkware F200

Planning to do a tinting of 20 VLT for the rear and understand this model doesn’t have super night vision, will it affect the quality by a lot?

Option 2
Thinkware F770

Has super night vision which should solve the above issue but at 500 ringgit more.
BlackVue bit too expensive as it’s over 2.5k for a decent unit.

Do you remember the VLT of the tint?

For F770 - it’s only super night vision 1.0 right? The 2.0 is only F800 Pro correct?

Lucky for u today my vehicle is parked in a place where there's no GPS signal at all. I checked just now and date+time are correct. It has never reset since the first time I drove out under the sky after installing the 0906, and got locked onto satellites.

A seller told me that there's a tiny battery in the cam that keeps the date and time when the vehicle isn't running. Guess it's kinda like how the CMOS battery keeps BIOS settings in a pc. Maybe your unit has a faulty RTC battery?

Looking at the track record of the mfg's firmware for various dashcams, I'd not be surprised if the current version is screwy. It usually takes several revisions before they iron out the bugs to reach stable operation. Aug 28 '19's firmware for the 0906 is still running well with no problems. Maybe it's a firmware bug in the Pro that prevents time and date from being saved and kept track of?

This is why I refrain from buying from the first batch of any electronic devices...let them work out the problems first.

Find a tv repairman friend and have him take it apart to see if there's a RTC battery installed and if there's one, a simple check with a multimeter should tell u the story.

But don't discount buggy firmware too!

If it's the "final version", doesn't that mean that version will be in the first production run? I'll wait ...can afford to wait long long
