I just heard that Viofo A119v2 not in production anymore.
For those looking for A119v2 better get it now before sold out from sellers with existing stock.

QUOTE(abubin @ Nov 28 2019, 04:42 PM) For those using rearview mirror dash cam, is it obstructive? I find it to be disturbing the rear view. Like when I need to just see the back, I don't need all these displays blocking the view. That's why I won't consider getting rear view dash cam. The screen will auto turn off itself after some time so you can only view the mirror. |

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Dec 3 2019, 12:35 PM) Thanks. Actually I'm more inclined to know about the issues & problems encountered by users of this model. Earlier issue was the not so clear 2K videos but it's been fixed in the latest firmware.Heard Thinkware added Remote Live View while parked like in the U1000. I didn't encounter any issues with the Q800 Pro after upgraded from F800 Pro then now using U1000. |

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Dec 4 2019, 03:04 PM) Thanks for the feedback. a) Never encounter before but Thinkware is well known for low power usage and the cut off is very accurate for battery monitoring. But need to put into consideration the age of the car battery and other variables which can affect the car battery also.Oh ok. Few concerns on those points: a) Is there battery drain issues for Q800 Pro when using parking mode? b) A129 Pro has better video quality because it is 4K? b) Currently, the best 4K video is Viofo A129 Pro Duo then Thinkware U1000 then Blackvue DR900S. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 4 2019, 07:05 PM) Happy happy joy joy! Hehehe..."Someone" sounds so cold and impersonal! Don't hesitate to tag me when that happens ok? Looks like the Mini 0906 dropped in price a bit more. RM405 with 64GB Evo+ local seller but no mention of warranty. Prospective buyers should chat with seller and ask about that. https://shopee.com.my/Mini-0906-Car-Dual-Le...9503.1364751855 The Shopee seller is Kintos |

QUOTE(clickNsnap @ Dec 4 2019, 11:10 PM) Hi blurjoey, B1W is the best budget dashcam while mini0906 is the best budget dual dashcam. Can't compare the both like that Comparing the current Mini0906 model (with CPL filter and hardwire at RM468) and 2 units of blueskysea b1w (at RM456)... which one better? Btw, is the Mini0906's parking mode works on both front and rear cameras? It is auto or manual parking mode? Thanks in advance! p/s. I have two cars, but only driving one car at a time, I am thinking.. shall I start with front dash cam first, plug in/out one dash cam for two cars...? (never own a dash cam before). Thanks for sharing As the mentioned dashcams are using a tape mount with the built-in GPS, it will be hard for you to move it between 2 cars. Best to save a bit more and get 2 dashcams for both cars if can. The parking mode is auto for front and rear cams but you'll need to get the 3 wires hardwire kit to use parking mode. Parking mode will be in timelapse mode until something triggers the gsensor or motion is detected and will record for 15 seconds in normal mode if not mistaken. There is a suction GPS mount which you can buy but if you use parking mode then you'll need 2 hardwire kits installed in both cars. This post has been edited by blurjoey: Dec 5 2019, 10:29 AM |

QUOTE(clickNsnap @ Dec 5 2019, 12:19 PM) Have to set the cut off at the correct voltage. Then also have to depends on other variables like age of car battery, other electronics, etc.QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 5 2019, 12:40 PM) Last month a real estate agent friend of mine was complaining about very slow business. Very hard to close sales. I suggested to her to use a dashcam with GPS to make a video of the drive between a property and nearby malls, schools, hospitals etc along with a running narrative of the benefits of living in that area, and then email it to ppl who had viewed the property along with the download link to a suitable GPS log viewer software. As the vid files would be large, have to send via some service like TransferXL, Sendbigfiles etc. Well she did so, and evidently had impressed prospective clients enough to be closing 3 deals last month (2 still awaiting bank loan approval). Dashcam can help make money lah! |
