Hello can anyone help me to recommend good dashcam I can buy? Below are some information
- Reasonably good and reliable dashcam
- No need recording during parking, just record while driving
- Prefer to have front and back dashcam
- Seldom drive at night, but don’t mind having superior quality/ high resolution recording
- Best is no need internal cabling, just plug and play (but if I need back dashcam I must do the cabling, despite not needing recording while parking?)
Thanks in advance
All dashcams will need cabling. The rear cam will need to plug into the front cam and the front cam will need power from somewhere like the ciggie port or fusebox if you hardwire..
I wish there was a wireless dashcam but sadly not yet.

The Blackvue DR900X Plus doesn't look too bad too. Not sure about the support in Malaysia though. Will continue looking at these two... Or might just get the teyes dash cam together with the CC3 and call it a day lol.
I heard that Sicurez is going to be a Blackvue dealer soon. Can check with them later on that.

Which model is better to choose?
A129 Pro or Plus vs 70mai A800
A129 Plus hardware is newer than A129 Pro. Go for Plus if you want latest. Pro if you want 4K recording.
A800 is using a lithium-ion battery.

Hi guys, any idea what is best dash cam for old car with no USB socket?
only have cigarette lighter socket or whatever its called.
All dashcam is using a USB charger via the ciggie port for power. Unless you hardwire it to the car battery or use the OBD port (not sure old cars will have this or not).

From what I can see if we want 4k based dash cams :-
Entry level - 70mai a800s ~450myr
Midrange - Viofo a129 Pro Duo ~1000myr
High end - Ddpai X5 Pro ~1800myr
Ultra high end - Thinkware u1000 / Blackvue DR900X Plus ~2700myr
Quality, especially the lens and ISP should go up as you move to a higher tier, but all of them should be reliable/usable enough based on reviews....
Sorry but DDPAI is mid-high range like the Viofo A129 Pro Duo.
High end will be like lower range Korean dashcam like Finevu, iRoad, etc.
