Hi, if i buy dashcam. Can i connect to Android player on my car using extra usb cable provided by android player itself?
*
Do you want to power the dashcam via the USB port on your Android HU?

The USB port might have not enough power for the dashcam.

Better to use back the original charger.

Light angle mcm high skt and not evenly distributed 🤔
*
The headlight? Yeah, it's a bit high after changing to brighter LED bulbs. No time to lower the angle. And no projector headlamp.

Yes. Not possible? My objective is dont want to see any wire around the cigarettes socket. And at the same my android player got two usb socket inside the dashboard socket which is not in use.

I plan to buy Mola N3 gps version
*
You'll need to test but I think most of the time the USB port won't supply enough power unless stated is for charging.

Same dashcam manufacturer as DDPAI. Look at DDPAI mini5 laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hi sifu's here, anyone know of a good installer for dashcam in the Petaling Jaya area? Looking to install a front and rear dashcam for my wife's Honda CRV
*
If you haven't bought, can go over to Sicurez. They are selling 70mai, DDPAI, Viofo and Korean dashcams.

Cant seem to include youtube url. /watch?v=8J-TElBvNgI

Was rather surprise z40 unable to capture the plates.

Just wondering if other full hd dashcam would be able to do so instead?
*
Actually, most dashcams can't really capture the license plate at night while fast-moving.

No matter what screen resolution, 30/60fps, etc.

Waiting for huawei ryyb sensor to come to dashcam. Saw the performance over on drones, it should be better than Sony super starvis
*
Dunno if the manufacturers will use Huawei sensors or not since they have already ditched HiSilicon chips from dashcams.

t700 vs x11 pro and con?

T700 - 1080p front and rear. dual-band wifi. LTE 4G.

X11 - 2K front and rear.

Uishh jgn lah compare thinkware with 70mai.. sweat.gif
One is premium level and one is mid level only, though the M500 is priced quite cheap for what it can do

I was comparing the 4G features ma laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif T700 will notify me when got impact and I can live view.

Holyshid. How its 4g work? We sub a line for it and plug in simcard?

But sound like pay premium for less common feature.
*
You still get all the bells and whistles of a typical Thinkware dashcam. Extra is the below.

You will get a notification when it detects any impact on your phone.

You can then view the impact on your phone while far away from your vehicle.

Can also live view.

Have to get a 4G data sim for the T700.

Waiting to test new Blackvue also this month.

Can i know what is the range for installation fees for a dashcam. 70mai a800s + R06, install into fuse box with hardwire kit. My SA charge me RM250 for installation, is this the normal installation price? thank you.
*
I think outside is can get rm100-150 if not wrong.

Get from reputable sellers/installers.

SA usually will add-on his commission to the cost.

Does 70mai A800s user (or any built-in battery dashcam) experience long term failure due to heat ?
Thinking of buying one but my car half day park under the sun
*
Depending on the quality of the battery. Long-term heat will eventually cause the battery unable to keep a charge, gets bloated, leaking or worst case explodes.

QUOTE(tifosi @ Mar 13 2022, 03:37 AM)
Don't have experience on A800s but generally get a capacitor based dashcam if you're exposing your car under the hot sun everyday. It might just swell and leak after a period of time.
*
Battery will wear and tear faster in the heat.

Capacitor does last longer than battery.

QUOTE(Scissorshand @ Mar 13 2022, 12:33 PM)
A500 user, car parked 24/7 outside more than a year but I think I've good tint so the cam is still working well with no sign of bulging...
*
Yes a good tint does help in the long run too.

Has anyone tried buying Viofo from Taobao before? Seems quite cheap compared to Shopee.

Besides that, is having 2x Viofo A119v3 the only way to get buffered parking capabilities whilst getting better night time picture quality as compared to A129 Pro?
Basically an A129 Plus but with buffered parking?
*
Usually way cheaper in taobao and aliexpress than local...

hey joey and the rest ..

I just came back from world tech accessories.
Unfortunately ,thinkware is really out of my budget .
they recommend me with this product tordayo thats comes with Wifi
Advantage is 1 is a Korea brand ,another one is China
Anything goes wrong they ll cover forr tordayo
Just wondering the odds, should i get get this or A800s 70mai ?

I haven't heard of this brand though but looks like a generic China dashcam brand but rm699 I think I better get a Viofo or a DDPAI.

Indeed but now I see Shopee China viofo selling A129 Pro after vouchers rm609.5 excluding the cable.

Edit: wasn't the duo was the single version 😔

Would this be worth going for at its price?
I'm still concerned about night time video as well as I park under the sun daily =/.
*
RM6xx is cheap for the A129 Pro but no cables? How about the rear cam?

Duo is a dual dashcam. But the A129 series, they do sell it as a single cam also.

A129 Plus night video is much better than the A129 Pro in my opinion but its 2K vs 4K.

QUOTE(yungkit14 @ Mar 15 2022, 12:18 PM)
sorry but could you spoonfeed me which viofo model.
My budget actually around 500 and i cant really afford that too high price

they told me its a korean brand for tordayo ?
*
Korean brand is Thinkware. Fordayo is China.

A129 Plus Duo is around rm699 sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Maybe look at DDPAI Z40?

Think they meant the Thinkware they are selling is from Korea.

Fordayo is generic China dashcam.

Looks the same as Fordayo?

Anyway getting a dashcam is like buying an insurance policy, you won't use it until something happens.

Get something better with clear video day and night can d. I nowadays will just set it and leave it until it recorded something interesting.
