I bought the Viofo A129 Duo + CPL + Hardwire kit from Aliexpress during the 28.8 sale for USD177
It arrived on 6.9 but I wasn't at home so I went to pick it up from the post office on 10.9
I just finished installing it. Took me a few hours sweat.gif
I followed this guide. Very clear instructions thumbup.gif
First time for me doing hardwiring.

Where do purchase the add a fuse tabs?
Do installation at sicurez you add a fuse tabs or the cut wires?
Do this void the car warranty?

The additional fuse taps from Aliexpress.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32958919182....659b4c4drenuAY

I installed it myself, not at sicurez.
Sicurez will also use fuse taps, not cut wires.
Does not affect car warranty.

Wanna ask if there are rear-view mirror dashcams which run on supercapacitors. So far all the ones I've come across have batteries in them. Recommendations would be appreciated!

I'm new, what's the difference between dashcam using capacitor and battery.

I've seen some dashcam still on when the car engine off

Fuse taps can get from Aliexpress, Lazada or Shopee.

Sicurez will use fuse taps and not cut wires.

This actually won't void the warranty but car manufacturers will say anything not install from the factory will void the warranty.

All are using lithium batteries. Haven't seen a rearview mirror dashcam that is using supercapacitor yet.

Blackvue in KL is by a grey importer/seller who got the stock from Singapore.

I think can go into SG to install Blackvue.

Would like to know more on the Parking mode on this one... hmm.gif

EDIT: Nvm, just read it's impact triggered. It wrote will be recording time-lapse video but will revert the video back to normal when there's impact so it's considered as buffered?

Buffered is record 10secs before impact or motion triggered and 10s after.

This is not buffered parking mode.

Hi, instead of buying from them, does anybody know roughly how much does the shop usually charge for installation fee if we bring our own smartmirror with dashcam and request them to install for us?

if we want the reverse camera function, we can only hardwire it to the reverse light? is there any way that does not required hardwire?

Accessories shop will charge rm50-300 depending on the dashcam. Just make sure they don't cut any wires.

Reverse camera need to tap to the reverse light wireas to know when R gear is engaged so can turn on the camera for you to view.

One of my dashcams died last week after 5+ yrs of faithful service. Any good 10.10 sales coming up by reputable sellers?
