Any recommendation on dash cam with motion sensor + G-sensor? I found the Xiaomi 70mai Pro to be good but seems like it's only equipped with G-sensor?
Got some funny scratches on the hood so would like to see what caused it...

Front only - Viofo A119 v3 with HK3 hardwire kit.
Dual - Viofo A129 Duo or A129 Pro Duo with HK3 hardwire kit.

Higher range - Thinkware dashcams.

Thanks, will check them out...

Would like to know more on the Parking mode on this one... hmm.gif

EDIT: Nvm, just read it's impact triggered. It wrote will be recording time-lapse video but will revert the video back to normal when there's impact so it's considered as buffered?

Want to ask Sifu here if anyone mount their dashcam beside the MyVI ASA camera time, the position the camera to point directly in front or will angle the camera a bit to point at center of car hood?

Just finished setup the A119 Mini but not sure if I should point straight or point center of car hood so would like to hear some opinions...

You'll need the GPS to detect your vehicle speed in order to display your own vehicle speed.
I prefer to mount the dashcam's lens at the dead center of the windscreen.

You can only mount the dashcam pointing straight as the lens can only adjust up and down. But you can mount to the left or right side pointing straight if there is something at the center as long can see both sides can d.

Hm, I installed beside the ASA on driver's side but a bit tilted to point the camera towards the center of the front hood. sweat.gif
Maybe will try to move to center, right below the ASA if the video looks awkward...
Does the GPS module works if I plug the Type-C onto the camera body instead of the GPS module? hmm.gif

Just had a drive during evening and night so trying to review the video quality but kind of confused with the huge difference of quality during night.

Evening drive, overall quality seems good. Able to see the opposing lane car's plate, but not sure why there's a purple hue on the top area. Looks like wave pattern.
Possible issue with the CPL or the tint? confused.gif

Night drive, somehow everything turned grainy regardless of bright or dark area, but somehow it still able to capture the motor's plate... doh.gif

Maybe will try remove the CPL next time to see if there's any major difference, also I also moved the dashcam to right below the ASA as the video captured is slanted so sometimes feels the right side is higher and left side is lower in video.
Read from other forum saying the current FW is having some bug where Auto HDR not activating according to the time selected so not sure if this also contribute to the grainy video.

That's the CPL filter and the tint. You have both and you'll see rainbow on the windcreen.

It's the same as when you're wear polarized sunglasses.

With CPL, night video will be a bit darker.

Got it, maybe will take the CPL off and see how does it perform in night... hmm.gif
