using A1 for both my Front Yi car cam and rear 70mai
since Oct 2018

the front one with 128GB have error when start, though it still records well
(suspect compatibility issue with cards 64GB)
and the rear is 64Gb no issue so far

it still works
but every start a prompt will show up asking me to insert compatible card

it is more of a dashcam compatibility with 128gb cards than anything

I gone cheap way and have a Yi youth cam for front
And 70 mai for rear

Mainly is that my car have no proper clock on dashboard
So the Yi cam is good since it idles to clock and date

For rear, my choice is more of aesthetic reasons
Cause the cylindrical shape is not noticable in rear view mirror

And yes, as blurjoey said, it won't have connection between the front and back
And times for these off the shelf units is not exactly atomic clock precise

And then the issue of powering it, I got a dual port xiaomi 12v plug, which at least feel substantial and for me, somewhat confident of the quality
(Plus the version I have has a extension port to add 1x usb A and 1 x usb C)

All in all
Looking at 300~400 for whole front and rear camera

If see the package there is a plastic film included
that film will stick to the windscreen like those non-permanant roadtax frame sticker

you are to stick the cam on that film

Syncing?

Two dash cam of different make will need two different phone app to connect.

Some more if those run off 12v only, and uses normal batt

For someone like me, that drive on the weekend only, the internal clock tend to drift away or outright reset back when batt is dead

Easy way to adjust is to connect through app
But as said earlier, two different app connecting two different wifi
