 Ap Company, Bad Experience with COMSAT [UPDATED]

My fren bought a W810i from Jusco Maluri, she din't test the phone as she is buying from his uncle in Jusco Maluri, 3 weeks later, when she start to use the Walkman function, while playing the walkman, it will automatically stop with a sentence "Playback Failed" every 2-3 songs, ok another thing is the speaker got problem when it is turn to the loudest, so make sure it is not becoz of the songs quality, she showed me by playing Sony Ericcson Ring Tone, n it comes out very cracky too, must be 2 block b4 loudness, the sound only ok, which is very abnormal as i hav another 2 frens using w810i too.... ok third problem, when using earphone, must turn the volume to fourth block only can hear the music which is very loud ad, when switch to b4 fourth block, no sound at all....

So she ask her uncle to fix it, I asked her to reformat the firmware, so she asked her uncle to do the same with Comsat....so her uncle sent to Comsat n it takes 3 WEEKS time to get back the phone without anything being repaired nor reformat as she still's can find her pervious msg in the phone, n previous setting, all r there! Then her uncle tell her, the motherboard spoilt ad, cannot repair...n say cannot change for her as she had used the phone for 3 weeks ad... doh.gif So my fren took the phone to Comsat Maluri/near to maluri(I'm not sure), my fren told them about the phone's problem, n a guy there tell this :"Oh..it is normal for w810i, the speaker is like dat 1, n the playback fail, every SE phone oso like dat 1 lah, I am using w810i, n i hav many frens using too, all oso like this, not a problem mah..normal lah..."

When my fren told me this, I was like, WTF...If i was there, i would hav F*ck dat guy kaw kaw, trying to cheat a noob buyer...as i was too busy to accompany her to there....never knew dat Comsat Provide such service!

Do not buy any phone from COMSAT, if not, u buy it now, regret later!!!!!! They won't repair ur phone! doh.gif

COMSAT in the BAN list now...

I'm very doubtful about her uncle too, as he sells a 2 months old phone to her as a new phone...anyway...COMSAT is still hav no rights to give such services as the warranty is still there!

Comsat changed the motherboard for my fren ad, finish it within 1 hour, my fren wasn't sure wat had happen to that SAME guy who kept on refusing to change the motherboard for her last time, but this time, dat guy din't ask much, just take the phone n asked my fren to come back in hour time, so they changed the mothervaord in hour time n gav back to my fren, thumbup.gif

I wonder y, izit becoz of this thread? The boss saw this topic ad? Or someone know Comsat n tell Comsat about this case? If yes, then I have something to tell Comsat,
To Comsat, u did a great job, but u left a very bad impression to me, I wont buy from u in the future.... sad.gif

what can I say?

ermm. bring it back to comsat, better if bring some knowledge-able friends along or some typical good functioning w810i and demand services. try to look for other workers / manager. your friend can tell them that she will bring the case to consumer tribunal bla bla if case is unsettle (with enough proof).

i doubt her uncle has done anything with her phone too.

Well, another Comsat buyer here. I bought my Nokia 6600 few years ago when i was also a noob, first time buying hp. The AP price is higher than others when soon my friend told me that. Anyway, forget about that. I didn't actually know what's in the package. But soon i find that they didn't give me the memory card that shud be coming together, they said no stock. So, i bought a 256MMC but also in a relatively high price too.

When later my card got some problems, i tried to bring it back to them. They don't even bother me also, saying that memory card is not in their business. I was like WTH, i bought this here, at least you can claim warranty for me ma.. Transcend should have warranty. I show them warranty card, etc etc also no use. Later arguing for hours, I decided to walk out and call the manufacturer myself. Luckily, the manufacturer replaced me a new one without doubt.

COMSAT, gave me a bad impression. -.-"

david..who is the guy who talk to u?so far comsat is consider the best ap if compare to final choice n others....u ask ur fren take to comsat maluri n find ah fai..he is helpful..hope this help u

My own ban list loh..lol...
No..her uncle not working in COMSAT, but her uncle sold her a recon set as a new set(when she got the phone, the warranty only hav 10months left), I told her about it, but she say it is ok, she believe her uncle...ask me not to make this thing more serious... rclxub.gif

Mmm...will do one day, she has been the her uncle n the COMSAT quite some time, she's feeling helpless at all, well..I promise to accompany her to COMSAT one day and find back that CONMAN...

Not talk to me....but my fren, aiyuh, when they sell phone sure very frenly one(where got people sell phone with bad attitude, who's gonna buy from them?), but once got problem, they will try to avoid/ignore it...I really hate these peoples... icon_rolleyes.gif

I already told her not to buy from outside, buy from my fren is safer, but she seems like believe her uncle more than my fren, anyway, but buy from her uncle consider safer for HER, but who knows her uncle is like dat 1... rclxub.gif

Er.. I dun really get it.. Coz tat time i really bought phone and card from comsat, the shop at maluri. I can remember well, it's my first time buying phone. Most zha dou is they said no stock for memory card, so didn't give me.. Though it's just dunno 32mb or 64mb only... And i've to spent additional money for another card. Not to repeat the story of the problem of the card again.. I personally never trust AP phones anymore.

COMSAT is pretty big I think and I expect them to do better than this. Just so you know, take your case to the higher up who will care. If according to them is correct that all SE phone of that model have same problem you would expect Sony Ericsson to make a recall (or to fix for free) of that model but I don't see any Authorized Distributor doing it so they are lying.

Next time, just remember that every Tom, d*** and Harry can import phones, sell it as an AP set it via their own warranty but if your phone happens to be a lemon and needs some major repair than you are out of luck. As only AD can have spare parts, etc blah~ from SE. Most AP companies can only perform simple repairs.

I also have bad experience with this Comsat when I got my 6600 from them some time in 2005. Got the phone on a Monday for my birthday. Then I notice there are dead pixels on the screen. Go there on Saturday(busy from Monday to Friday), but I was abit late, 5pm+ IIRC. They've already closed. So I went there again on the following Saturday morning. There's one guy sitting behind the counter who's busy playing with this cellphone. I ask him about the phone's problem and he just replied "next door laaa, here is retail. service center few doors away laa" and continued playing with his phone. He didnt even bother to look at me, but nvm la.

Went into the service center and told them about the dead pixel. Then this guy I talked to straightly passed the phone to his colleague and say "phone got problem, go check see". As expected, they pass back the phone to me and tell me there wasnt any problem. He just say the phone can call, can on/off etc etc ie. functioning well. Then I tell them again, the phone is working fine, just the LCD has dead pixels on it, and the warranty card says the LCD is under 1 month warranty.

This is where the problem starts. They refused to change the LCD. They keep saying if the unit is problematic, I should send it back to them on the first week. Then I ask them what's the use of the warranty card? It says the LCD is under 1 month warranty, now you're telling me the warranty is 1 week only? Wasted 1 hour waiting+arguing, so I think, bah! just forget it! From then on, I inform my friends and relatives to beware of AP phones from this company. The end smile.gif

LCD replace nid RM300-RM400, sure they will try not to replace for u if they could...

i disagree.. juz because of 3 person having bad experience doesnt mean the company sucks :s
i never had any bad experience with final choice but i do have alternate bad experience with bbs, telstra, comsat, GT, etc

So far i have no major problem at all with COMSAT... most of my friends and family have trust with the company. It's one of the best and cheapest... The only complain would be the repairing service a little bit slow...

sorry to hear your friend bad exp with comsat.

i bough w810i for my gf and this hp is under comsat too.
3th week, the hp had charging problem so i tot the hp to the shop and they help me send to comsat.

after 2 weeks, the hp come back to me and repaired. good condition. everything working fine till now. the hp is gonna 9 months liao. smile.gif

GCN is in my blacklist
cant remember if it was february or march, my customer ordered a black n80 so i told gcn i want black n80, then they gave me silver n80 like wtf? after that they made me wait for 1hour++ coz they told me can get the phone at 4pm, i got it around 5.30pm
after that i checked the fon, all function ok
then gave to customer, a day after the customer came back to me, to myy shock when i checked the sms, got a bunch of chinese written smses, starting from january unntil feb or march cant remember,
GCN gave me either a 2nd hand set or recon set. bloody cheaters blood sucking company, i got angry went to klang straight away and scold the salegirl upside down,
the best part is that girl juz keep quite, go insided officce and got scolded again from her boss, NEVER say sorry or anything juz gave me full refuund, that was my last order. no more from gcn, liars cheaters, told them if this is a new set they nod nod say yes yes, go to hell la

hmm,I think its most probably really firmware problem.If can I think you can download the firmware flashing software in the internet.Try to search it here.

I also have this problem with my previos W810 phone.Already when firmware upgraded.Lol and your friends uncle really cacat lah.He dare sell a 2 month old phone to her.Shame on him to cheat on his own relative.

And I doubt his knowledge in SE phone.The problem you experiencing I don't think its related to Motherboard problem.

Actually ap and ori suppose to come from same factory ... but now ap company take things on their own hand by 'conning' (recon) and then so called it as 'ap' set so earn a better profit.

The price diff is due to taxation and branding and etc ..

I think theres a comsat service (not sure its retail) at maluri ... If u din buy from there just go back to the ori shop u bought it cause its a diff case alltogether ... or maybe your fren's uncle is working for that shop and got the w810 (dunno how) and sell it to u.

I feel that going to ori technican is better as some ap company even will steal your hp's spare part and tell you your phone can't repair already...

Oh My God, it take 1 month time to fix it.

took 2 weeks time to check the set and finally inform me water damage.

hm... comsat.. basically i don hv any good impression on them... if u would go to their distribution center in Lowyat, u'll get what i mean staff not frenly and place is kinda messy.. if u compare to other distributors u'll c the diff.

When my fren told me this, I was like, WTF...If i was there, i would hav F*ck dat guy kaw kaw, trying to cheat a noob buyer...as i was too busy to accompany her to there....never knew dat Comsat Provide such service!

Do not buy any phone from COMSAT, if not, u buy it now, regret later!!!!!! They won't repair ur phone! doh.gif

COMSAT in the BAN list now...

I'm very doubtful about her uncle too, as he sells a 2 months old phone to her as a new phone...anyway...COMSAT is still hav no rights to give such services as the warranty is still there!

Comsat changed the motherboard for my fren ad, finish it within 1 hour, my fren wasn't sure wat had happen to that SAME guy who kept on refusing to change the motherboard for her last time, but this time, dat guy din't ask much, just take the phone n asked my fren to come back in hour time, so they changed the mothervaord in hour time n gav back to my fren,  thumbup.gif

I wonder y, izit becoz of this thread? The boss saw this topic ad? Or someone know Comsat n tell Comsat about this case? If yes, then I have something to tell Comsat,
To Comsat, u did a great job, but u left a very bad impression to me, I wont buy from u in the future.... sad.gif

By CSL is the best serving AP company. Rarely have problems with them. Same goes to my friend.

I advice ppl many times all stubborn bring a phone expert there they can identify any problem u have as fast as u can snap your finger. You go yourself then they cheat you then u blame them.

Because AP company are distributor the shop cheat u is different story.

Like Nokia Malaysia they dont cheat you are the seller of the phone cheats u. Same like AP company the distributor do not cheat. Only they give u slow warranty.

yala They blame the distributor for what? There a reason why they are called distributor . They only distribute they dont sell.

Shop sell them and they cheat u. Got problem then only u send back to the shop or send to distributor for warranty. Example.

Thats why u go to NCC buy phone they sell at retail price. They encourage ppl to buy from other handphone shop. Nokia distribute and shops help them sell.

Yup, i found that COMSAT & FINAL CHOICE hav bad service too, this are all the staff's attitude problem. Once u send the phone in for them to repair, its either they ask uy to leave the phone for them or they fix for u immediately, but then, if fix immediately , it doesnt mean they fix it nicely, Such as my previous N73ME, i take it back to Final Choice service centre in Parkroyal opposite Sungei Wang, my volume key has problem, so they fix it for me immediately after 2 hours, and u know wats the result? at first the key can be press nicely, the after two days, the problem come back again, i was like, what? is this a curse? hmm.gif

So i went back to them again, from puchong to KL, its a two hours journey for me as i take bus to KL sentral & change to a monorail. It was a waste of my time going there, but no choice. Anyway, here goes, they fix again for me in two hours again, so while i was waiting, they called me, and tell me the volume key is broken and replace for me without charging me. After taking the phone back, the key is fixed, but with a obvious cracking sound. So i bring my dealer to them and my dealer ask them to repair again, and they say its me who misused it, so they start to quarrel, in the end, my phone hav to stay in their office for two weeks! Not two hours now. shakehead.gif

After two weeks, when i take the phone back, everything is fix, but there's a lot of dust inside my camera & LCD, so i ask them y is it like that, and they take my phone and use their FINGER NAIL to take the housing out in front of me and clean it. I was like, listening to the cracking sound with my eyes growing big each time i heard the crack!!! Then i ask them to stop, so i bring back the phone & never go back to the service center anymore! In the end i clean the housing my own, but only the LCD, then camera is too hard to clean i will nid tools to disassemble the whole phone.

This is the most bad experience of AP company i ever had.

And Now, My W910i, N82 are all from HSS which is from sunway, and i trust them as they gives me good service & a wwhole lot 18 months warranty rclxms.gif Besides that, 1wonder oso a good AP company,,, smile.gif

COMSAT is the lousiest . I have almost the same bad experience with my W350! Comsat, you must go bankrupt. They have change to a new office recently but service is still the same.Lousy.
