Valuations Still High in Consumer Staples: 6 ETFs to Shun
The investing scenario in the United States is a little tricky now. Global growth worries have led several central banks from the developed markets to adopt an easy monetary policy, which in turn has resulted in subdued dollar and Treasury bond yields. This should make a great investing scenario for Consumer Staples stocks and ETFs. URL: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/valuations-s...-120012134.html |

Consumer Discretionary ETF (XLY) Hits New 52-Week High
Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund XLY is probably on radar now. The fund just hit a 52-week high and is up about 29.3% from its 52-week low price of $91.73/share. But are more gains in store for this ETF? Let's take a quick look at the fund and the near-term outlook on it to get a better idea on where it might be headed: URL: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/consumer-dis...-113011704.html |

Hi, I am new here and I have a question. If I have made profits from my portfolio, will my profits be reinvested? Or they just sit there and I have to withdraw, then manually invest for reinvestment?
I know that SA reinvests dividends but what about profits? Thanks |

Or they just sit there and I have to withdraw, then manually invest for reinvestment? Those are paper profit (gain); unrealized profit (gain). I know that SA reinvests dividends but what about profits? Thanks It is just showing your portfolio performance. Nothing is solid till you realize it by selling your holding. Same when things go south way; i.e loss This post has been edited by David83: Apr 17 2019, 09:29 PM |

QUOTE(neverfap @ Apr 17 2019, 09:59 PM) But he kept repeating two statements over and over again.1. Holdings get sold if risk % set to about 6% 2. Double digit of negative return (- 2X%) He can put those cautionary tips at Page#1 since he's the TS right? This post has been edited by David83: Apr 17 2019, 10:02 PM |
