Too bad I studied in MMU Cyber not Melaka, otherwise I can call myself the boy from Bukit Beruang. To preserve our capital I think we need to bw really aware of the fake bull. honsiong when want to release your bull from kandang haha. Coz I enjoy bear markets I am a bit psychopathic when it comes to finance, love it when crypto plunge 80%, S&P please fly down 20%-50%, love to see people panicking, despair etc |

Reading the old parts from sifus seems SA is not really making any profit for anyone yet. I'm currently on 6.5, 20, 36 with 2-6-2 ratio. Any care of advice about how reasonable this is to start with? Noobie investor here, hence why I thought to go with SA, I tried FSM and got burnt real bad. |

I would say a lot of people are already making very good profit, way more than FD in a period shorter than 12 months. Reasonableness would be more like how much of your life's savings you have invested in SA, rather than the ratio you mentioned. If you are new, you should just stick to 1 portfolio instead. Find a risk profile you are comfortable with and stick to it. |

I adjusted down the portfolio risk level after SPY's ex date, but still gets dividends for SPY like 1.5 months after its ex (SPY takes very long time to pay out), so I guess I have no doubt about StashAway dividend payout. |

QUOTE(Mervin1234 @ May 13 2019, 10:20 AM) Hi all sifu's. Does anyone knows how dividen is converted into units ? From what I understand, you do not get Dividend as Units, but you get it in Cash.I have made a list of purchase following SA buy order, the buy order units is so far tally with my total up. So what happen to my dividen receive ? shouldn't it be converted into units as well ? is yes then i should have more units available correct ? Hope someone can clarify this TIA. I am guessing this because my Cash portion always goes up. So, I think it is: Dividend -> Cash -> Buy Units (it may in fact not be the exact same ETFs) For Example: 7/5/2019 Received Dividends from AGG, CWB, TIP, TLH, TLT 8/5/2019 Bought Units in AGG, FEZ, CWB, EWJ This post has been edited by ViktorJ: May 13 2019, 11:55 AM |

After they got the cash they will buy the ones with current allocation % less than their targets % to rebalance the portfolio. This post has been edited by honsiong: May 13 2019, 12:21 PM |
