QUOTE(ThE DaReDeViL @ Jul 13 2020, 01:39 PM) My previous Angel ST lasted around 16k km with around 10% left... I was told Roasted 01 is way durable... Think I've been conned... Haha... But anyway, no regret... Just did a Cameron ride yesterday thru Sungai Koyan and it serve me sell... I try stick to recommended pressure @ 32f/36r... Tried go higher on rear last time @40 but it makes the tyre become squarish faster... Eh, Angel ST is not dual compound leh. With that also lasted 16k km? Hopefully Roasted 01 will double that for you. Why you call it Roasted ah? IMO Angel ST to Roadtec01 is one step up. The competitor for Roadtec01 is the Angel GT or Angel GT II. From an article I just saw, Pirelli owns Metzeler so are considered the same company? Now it feels even better to be running a set of Metzelers... haha

Ya I was actually asking for roadtec z8, but the seller say better use back Angel ST and save some $$ as Angel ST is slightly cheaper with near same performance... He said either take one step up to roadtec 01, or use back Angel ST... No point wasting money on z8... Still, most recommended is PR5 which is way out of my budget... Haha...

I see, I'd say Z8 and ST are the same level. Maybe jaga wallet a bit, next one use either one of these, whichever is cheaper or available. Next important thing is to make time for more rides. Next important thing is to make time for more rides. From the place I purchase, ST and 01 price difference - f = rm50, r = rm150 only... Which I think if 01 can get greater mileage, then the price-mileage ratio will be the same.. Not to mention better grip on the 01... So 01 will definitely be my choice...

Price wise... well here in malaysia its kindda on the expensive side. for the price u can get better brands really. i bought this dirt cheap and thats why i use it.

Yaya, Shinko Apex you mentioned... searched online for trackday review, found this guy saying those tyres gone before reach the TWI mark. Is that why you changing soon? Feels don't dare to use it yet. Looks like after a while, once the oil in tyres can use up, it will quickly lose grip. Read that track tyres like can only tahan few rounds of warm up and cool down before losing performance. Guessing that's why got many second hand track tyres for cheap. Saw many of those tyres have biji2 bumps, which is an indication of over-heating. Where do you go cornering? I follow frens every other weekend for cornering practice.

The rider is experienced rider, superbikes, sports tourer, street sports. The Z9 belongs to his friend, stock setup, rode it up Cameron on a good day and that was his feedback. He wants to replace S22 with T31 as next tyre on his bike and re-assess. Not to brag, but as reference, his S22 no chicken strips, for real. So, maybe T31 isn't suitable for him.

Anyone has experience with CBR150R? Im planning to get one for daily commute later on when office goes back to on site working. I'm riding from Puchong to Cyber so top speed is not a criteria. I ride around the 100-120kmph range mostly. My other considerations are MT-15 and GSX-S150. Mt-15 i have to tip toe a little bit with the seat height, worry about maintenance as well. GSX the look is kinda meh and no ABS at all is kinda sad but Suzuki maintenance should be better? Need some insight from sifus.
