I just compared their R5 2600 and they are selling it at rm868.. Czone price list stated rm699.. Lazada rm659.

Same. I remember they were such a small shop in pandan indah, cases put outside. No place to walk. But customer service very nice. Original owner still chitchat with me etc, I remember buying a GTX 970 into a OEM Dell PC. Now they move shop to near the mrr2 highway. Went in everyone muka masam to serve you when I told them it's not a gaming PC it's just a PC for my dad. Hmm. My personal experience.

When building a PC rig, best to compare prices from a few source prior to purchase. You can technically save hundreds if you don't mind building the rig yourself.

Avoided them ever since my last rig build, asked for best price for few parts. Get replied discount only available for rig build . 3k + worth of parts and they don't ever bother to give minor discounts.
Duh, I can get better service at Jayacom and they even voluntarily gave discounts without asking.

yeah, fuck them. Supposedly got life long service such a cleaning and rewiring if bought the whole thing from them but that guy lansi af. Never bought asingle thing from them since then

we owned the whole building.

thanks to our competitors (especially from Lowyat Plaza) who keep complaint idealtech dump the selling price at this forum and make the distributor to stop supply us few years ago.
luckily we change the strategy to sell at SRP but give full years warranty, then only get to buy our own shop.

so most of your competitor selling r5 2600 below SRP?

i've never been to ur shop before but there are some fellas here that mentioned that ur staffs are kinda rude. if it is true arent u gonna do something about it?

i read a FB Review before, a malay guy came to shop, straight away come in front of me , asking we got seling gaming seat or not.
i was stunned for few seconds just realized he is asking for gaming chair then i terus reply oh tak ada, tak ada. then he smile and going out.
in the review he said he got rude treatment at our shop.

We have 6 Malay staffs and 4 Chinese staffs in the shop. I never saw my staffs scold the customers,
I see the customers not happy and went out after they been told dust cleaning / free checking only for our customers PC ;
9900K must bundle with motherboard or build rig only ; PC rebates only for full rigs; non our customers PC can't get delid/ OC service..

This is the 1000th thread about retail shop pricing more expensive than Lazada with bad customer service.

Retail shop is good for after sales service and online shop is good for better price.

And my personal opinion,people with high self-entitlement often have issues with customer service

Personally I have bought a keyboard from Idealtech as well.

My experience was the staff was rather sarcastic when I asked if there is any discount. Then I posted a comment about my experience was so-so. Then this bro Zhen Wei PM me getting all defensive and saying I was misleading other people with my post.

From what I see in this forum, he still getting defensive all over.

In customer service perspective, it may be a better choice just to say, "I apologise if you have bad experience, we will do it better next time". By constantly explaining, you may win the argument, but do you think the customer will return?

Look at how many posts giving so-so feedback, if so many people also giving so-so feedback, shouldn't you reflect on it (on things you can do better) than coming out constantly trying to explaining why you are right?

but if you live klang valley, its very easy to reach those distributor/service center (funny thing is some of these service center dont mind if you lost prove of purchase)
sending to shop first just delaying turn around time, but understandable la because no nid to pening kepala finding distributor information and no need to travel far2.

last time i lost receipt, the shop asking rm30 just to re-issue receipt, in my mind were where is good after sales service, bought thousand ringgit worth of hardware kenot kawtim abit, maybe give discount like rm10 for re-issuing receipt. good thing those rma place can still track the date/place of purchase, so no nid receipt.

Idealtech is a good shop overall especially for noobies in pc. Instead of getting rip off by buying your pc at lowyat plaza , i always suggest buying from them as their after sales service is decent too.

For seasoned pc user who are looking for bargains then you might say their price is slightly expensive. But if your pocket is deep enough then i see no problem buying from them.

still remember doing COD with zhenwei at Petronas UPM Serdang back last 10 years I believe around 2008, it was among the best price during that time when compare to Lowyat Plaza.

Nver hab exp with idealtech, but i got wit lingloong a.k.a dotatech. kinda langsi. Don bother goin there and ask for product suggestion, they'll go masam mukak treat u like bodo. I remember i got treated like dat by 1 of the C staff. Weirdly the M staff is ok tho..

Idealtech caters for a different market. I believe they are more focus in builsing rigs for customers who doesn't know or lazy to configure or build their own rigs. Thus the higher margin being charged.

I am cheapskate, I will hunt down the cheapest components and assemble it myself. I get a sense of satisfaction by doing that.

They are good at handling your parts warranty claim BUT
1. only if bought it from them
2. and not for those out of warranty

Yup used to have very competitive pricing but not any more.
They are know for building rigs with good cable management.

If you wan to buy component try other shops or online.
