It's true, the A200 (and the A700) were in the market before they were announced.

As far as I know, Tamron makes all their lenses in A-mount also. They all exist or can be ordered.

Compact Flash cards are cheap now, so don't worry if you've missed a promotion! They can be faster in some circumstances.

A700 already long time in the market ,A200 just arrive on monday

Anyone know's the pricing for Sony's 50mm f1.4 lens? And oh, is Sony gonna launch any new prime lenses?

official pricing by sony style is rm1650
if u get it from normal camera shops maybe can get around rm1200~rm1300 like that

The Minolta 50mm F1.7 (only available second-hand) is great, sharp and high-quality. Don't compare it to the Canon 50mm F1.8 Mark II, that's made of cheap plastic. (I've repaired a broken one, it feels very flimsy and you'll get a bad impression of non-L Canon lenses.) The Minolta is SOLID.

The Sony 50mm F1.4 is reported to be sharper than the Minolta 50mm F1.4, with better coatings.

No, F3.5 is not good enough for moving low-light photography (though it helps make a usually impossible night scene... possible.)

As for "NEW SONY ALPHA A200 with SAL1870 = RM1850" if this is without memory card, then it adds up to almost the same price because you'd have to buy a 2GB CF card.
