Fuyoh... lucky never buy during pre-sales.
*
But if you include the 2gb memory card, the price adds up to the pre sales price...

Hmmm, when's mine coming... whistling.gif

at RM2499 ..... you can already have a200 with twin lens kit, 18-70mm (nice bokeh!) and 75-300mm... and both are IS-ed by natural

If the item is still under warranty and you have the warranty card, there should be no problem.

I sold my A100 to a friend, 9 months old with 9 months warranty left.

She took it to Sony to replace the rubber grip, and they did it, no questions asked. I also was surprised because the warranty wasn't in her name!

(Sony also fixed my old Minolta lens for free, quite cool!)

Just called Sony MidValley, my long awaited @200 with twin bazooka's have arrived (at least that's what the guy said, need to reconfirm on this hmm.gif )....... rclxms.gif

So, now need to get a bag & other accesories. Any ideas what i should get?

Besides the prime lens, any other immediate essentials?

Guys,

Where to get the following items in KL/S'gor area?

1.Hot Shoe Cover
2.UV or CPL filter, anyway which one is better, recommended brand?

As i already have a UV filter for my 18-70, it is advisable for me to get a UV or CPL for my 75-300?

Thanks

silver01: both UV and CPL filters serves different purposes. Make sure you know what you want the filter for before buying it. I personally find CPL pretty useless with kitlens (i.e. both the SAL1870 and SAL75300) because on both of these lenses, the front element rotates during focusing, so not easy to use the CPL filter. I do have a CPL, but because the CPL filter is new, it was so tight to rotate. I scared if I rotate the CPL filter, I will spoil the focusing mechanism on both the lens and the camera body.

On another note, if you do want to buy CPL filter, you only need to buy one for both kitlenses because they are both 55mm thread. Save you some money...

Kysham,

That's what i was thinking initially, one UV one CPL which can be interchanged.. smile.gif

If you are shooting water bodies like lake, river in sunlight, i believe CPL can cut down the reflections, whereas UV is more generic in nature ( anywhere in bright sunlight)am i right, i thought i read this somewhere... hmm.gif

Any thoughts anyone, especially the sifu's..

A200 LCD screen size is 2.7 inch. Camera shop's have this size already. No need to cut.
