[UPDATE] TVB Jade, TVB Xing He, and Phoenix HK are now live. MangoTV is yet to come.

An à la carte subscription to these channels is available for just RM9/month.

all this while i have legacy ultimate sweat.gif watching F1 from here
i didnt bother to unsubs it because my unifi 800mbp + this tvpack _ std20 = RM99/month, may not be cheapest, but i guess still affordable

i just sign up sooka recently for 24months @ RM499, mainly also watch TVB Jade.... with EPL maybe (after having kids, lesser time lol)

now the new unifi tv 2.0 can install for my samsung tv (2022 model, maybe running tizen OS hmm.gif) and now my ultimate legacy has TVB Jade sweat.gif

seems unifi tv getting better nowadays... trying to compete

Keep your Unifi TV pack. You’re a sooka subscriber too, so you get the best of both worlds.

For some odd reason, the 3 new channels refuse to load over the Android box (done clear cache and restart too). Not sure if anyone else has same issue.

Once upon a time , I got face this issue on Unifi TV box so I investigate on the backend and ends up the app have a very rare bug that may happen to some users. The only thing you can do is u need to factory reset the whole box then you can use back normal since the solution only can be done through root access.

Mine is K Plus on last time.

Same issue here with using UPB V3 built in app after factory reset and update also same issue.
Try at iPad, iPhone , another android tvbox no issue can play that 3 channel.

When factory reset , please do tick option for wipe device data too if available.
Then try update the Unifi tv app ONLY to try if issue still persist. If necessary, do not update the the box firmware 1st.

If all above fail, just escalate back to TM and they delighted to exchange for free when they on site after they prove the channel can’t watch.

Generally, Astro has better picture quality than Unifi TV.

If you stream Astro through set-top-box or Multiroom Smart TV app, you can get up to Full HD 50fps, up to 4K (Love Nature and Astro Sports UHD), and also Dolby 5.1 audio (if the channel has it).
Compared to Unifi TV, maximum is up to Full HD 25fps. You can get Full HD 50fps if you watch it through Unifi TV's IPTV Multicast (connect to LAN 4 port of the router). As for audio, both are in Stereo audio only.

If you want to get the best picture quality possible with no picture quality fluctuation whatsoever due to adaptive bitrate streaming:
Astro - Use satellite dish
Unifi TV - Use the IPTV Multicast version (connect to LAN 4 port of the router)

I thought Unifi TV 2.0 will finally bring us true FHD or UHD content from their channels. Turns out it's turning into a yet another super-app bloatware.

They've never mentioned that, despite the Unifi TV Box being UHD-ready (especially not from live TV).

Expect less from them next time.
