It seems they dont do channel numners anymore. The new ui has no channel numbers

TM will retire the old infrastructure such as vlan and channel number soon

I wonder what would happen to those still using the old HyppTV Silver & White Box, as you've already mentioned this.

Anyway, finally, the new Unifi TV 2.0 supports the Smart TV app. Mine's using a 2022 Samsung Smart TV UHD.

Starting tomorrow, July 29, existing customers will begin transitioning to the new app.

This is what I heard from how TM going forward and standardize with their new ott system vendor. On the box availability, I getting the free box every generation but in exchange renew contract.

Most probably they will announce some campaign on free box.

Either they kill it or just let the old stuff obsolete and retired naturally.

I hear they will give free box to replace the old white and silver one. Maybe not all customers will get

this will be sad... my parents still having a hard time transitioning to new interface so I revert to using the white box

As I try the new app there is a favourite channel. Parents can easy access. No need to even remember the channel number

How to view new apps? I haven’t receive sms from unifi saying i can use the new unifi tv?

Received SMS yesterday upgrading account for the new app. Tested the new app, UI looks slightly better but the main problem is still there. There is no setting to choose resolution/video quality??? Or is it hidden somewhere? Its crazy to be watching like 480p or 720p tv shows when my unifi speed is running 300mbps. Not even 4k or 1080p. Immediately closed the app.
