Because they are using this to get people to subscribe to their internet, which we are massively overpaying. They don't really mind loosing a few dollars for UnifiTV when they can make more for people who likely will be subscribing Unifi as well.

And unlike Astro, they don't have to think about Satellite equipment or high quality 50FPS web stream. So there's no up keep cost there

If I buy separately, Netflix Rm28, Disney+ RM18, HBO Go RM34, beIN RM20. These already total RM100

FWIW, bulk agreement are likely cheaper so we as the end user are not getting the same rate.

In the end I still stand by the fact that Unifi itself is still making more money via ISP per head than they are loosing through UnifiTv

From current website pages, ultimate joins the other legacy packs, grandfathered.

Looks like only ultimate plus, ultimate max are available to new subscribers.
The price for all u get is reasonable. Assuming u watch TV, of course.

Even rm100 incl netflix 4k isn't too bad if u consider the individual prices of netflix 4k, Disney+h, iqiyi, lionsgate, BBC player... + the linear channels incl Celestial, paramount, HBO, cinemax, etc.

I just wish they incl Food Network and/or Asian Food Network in the near future.

I agree with this. With the addition of hbo 4 channels I do think it’s worth the price as I always watch tv everyday unless I am super tired after work. Thanks unifi for finally listening to our suggestion

I presume they are seperating HBO with the other movie channels to diffrentiate the Ultimate with Ultimate + and Ultimate Max.
Ultimate will only get the default movie channels, while the Ultimate + and Max will get Movies + HBO Pack

https://www.businesstoday.com.my/2023/09/01...4-new-channels/

With HGTV and Cartoon Network also added on Unifi TV in August, WBD now offers nine of its channels as well as the regional streaming service, HBO GO, which will be available in October.

will be nice to get HBO Go! thumbup.gif

i think HBO Go only for Ultimate Plus, Ultimate Max since these 2 are the only 2 "premium" available.

Old Ultimate is getting dropped, i believe.

i think the old white box is generic android, not certified ATV, cannot use the VOD apps incl netflix.

that's why they give new box.

me, i dun use the new box. biggrin.gif

i find it better to use direct on AndroidTV tv - less cables, less power, 1 tv remote, more convenient.

PQ is the same, if not better.

I don’t have Android tv. Still using the Panasonic plasma tv.
I find that it is very easy to navigate through the channels on the white box.
Currently watching Disney Hotstar on iPad.

If they send me the UPB box, can I continue to use the white box to watch the tv channels?
And use the UPB box for Disney Hotstar?

yes .

white box is normally connect direct to a specific LAN port of router.

UPB box you use wifi AC to connect . hence can use anywhere in your house.

both will work . i have this setup .

Hi, does anyone know how to un-link our HBO Go from our old Astro Go login? I cancelled Astro a while ago but my HBO Go is still linked to my old Astro Go. I want to ensure that when Unifi gives the login for HBO Go app, i get to use my existing HBO GO username.

BTW, when Unifi gave me the username for Disney+ Hotstar after the Ultimate Max upgrade, I was given the same username as my previous Disney+Hotstar login which was under Astro. Despite having cancelled Astro almost a year ago, the old Disney+Hotstart login still had all my favourites and watch history intact.
