On wifi. Need to wait like 3 seconds for the picture to be clear. Maybe buffering haha. Netflix Disney all no problem
*
ATV also need few seconds to get it clear.. wonder how the other streaming platforms are able to get it clear the 1st time while Unifi TV still need a few seconds to buffer

Also I noticed English subtitle is like not complete as sometimes when the actor talks nothing come out. Not just one channel. I tried HBO and Celestial also the same

By the way, any idea what will happen to Lionsgate Play? I added it during promo for free viewing until September but seems like made permanent? I just don't want to suddenly kena bill shocked charge us from next month onwards

EDIT: Live Chat answer

Yes, If it free, normally it will automatically expired

Depends on the hls init file. By default some would put the lowest quality first, then as they detect your internet speed, it will change to better quality.

Some streaming services meanwhile would switch it around. AstroGo/Sooka for example will load the highest quality then would lower it accordingly.

i had been using Unifitv and the VOD apps direct on 4KHDR ATV tvs.

today, i decided to play with the new UPB box i received after subscribing to Ultimate Max (+netflix 4k).

i was pleased to find that the new box CAN use router LAN4, better stream quality for the TV channels incl the 4 HBOs.

i hv compared to using wifi, LAN3, etc... quite sure of that.

so, i will use the box for this purpose only.

but i m surprised that this UPB display setting is capped at 1080p, says "Dolby Vision, HDR10 unsupported".

has unifi locked it up since this box is UHD capable, right?

perhaps that's why they offer only netflix basic and std but not premium which has to be done separately with +RM10?

can anyone shed some light on this?

It seems like they're discontinuing Ultimate Pack by the end of this month, like what they did with the original Aneka Pack, Ruby Pack, Varnam Pack and Ultimate Lite Pack. If you're asking them about Ultimate Pack (RM 60) or any discontinued pack, the staffs will act "blur-blur" about it and suggest you to look at the current offered packs instead.

HBO Pak will be offered to Plus Packs and discontinued packs' subscribers, which gives access to all 4 HBO channels and the HBO GO app.

With more channels coming to the Ultimate Plus and Ultimate MAX packs soon, you should consider an upgrade before the end of this month. If you don't like to be tied with 24 months just for Unifi TV, you can also consider switching your Home Internet package to the newly priced ones. They're cheaper and more valuable compared to the previously offered ones.

I plan to switch my current 800Mbps plan to the new 500Mbps one with Netflix Standard as my speed never passes 300 Mbps before. Just hope the connection is stable after the change. tongue.gif

I hear that they're going to introduce lower prices soon. Fyi, my current package (800 Mbps) is the Gobind day's one around RM 380. Since they no longer offer the 800 Mbps plan to the new subscribers, it's either going for lower speed or the Gbps plans. But my current speed is a concern too. Seems like my area is stuck at 300Mbps max. Never go beyond that before. tongue.gif

My current one is 800 Mbps with Ultimate Pack (RM 60). I do add-on TVB Anywhere+ (VOD Zone) for my family. I want to change both Internet speed and TV pack to 500 Mbps (like I said the speed cap thing in my area) with Ultimate MAX because I don't want to pay for the HBO Pak or any upcoming new channel as ala-carte. That'll be hella expensive. My guess for the price of HBO Pak will be around RM 15 to RM 20. That's quite expensive to be considered as add-on for the old Ultimate Pack since the Ultimate Plus only costs RM 70. But the plan I want to subscribe (aka 500 Mbps with Ultimate MAX) can save me around RM 80, I think. The Unifi plans page is down now, so I can't really see the exact price. tongue.gif

Seems like HBO confirmed on ultimate plus pack and ultimate max pack?

Legacy ultimate pack will be without HBO?

They are pushing legacy Ultimate users to get the more expensive pack I presume.

if they keep current promo prices after Sep 30, ultimate plus does carry good value at rm69.90.

assuming no twist, and the pack gets 4 HBO, HBO Go.

if they revert to recommended retail price, it will be much less attractive.

I dont think they will increase the price once you subscribed to the promo price. Niot logic la cause you see, some customer just pay for rm100 something for very high speed internet. Some got very cheap package. Tak pernah dengar lagi unifi increase price for existing customer. They got very untung under internet package already
