That Auto Switch on has something to do with the smart TV function (as far as i know new Samsung TV has this feature), the HDMI feature settings which you can use your TV remote to control you TVbox. This function also allows TVBox to control the TV to switch on when it receives the power, so I assume most likely the tvbox got updated and restarted around midnight, then it auto switch on the TV.
I switched the HDMI feature settings Off so it will not pandai2 ON by TV itself.


You know what? Playing Disney+ on the UPB2 is really poor quality compared to my Samsung smart TV.
From start playing it looks like 420p resolution then gradually goes up to 1080p, while playing directly from samsungTV it doesn't happen that way.
At first I thought it was lousy Disney+ streaming service, then finally realized its UPB2 the main problem.

BTW Anybody knows how to disable auto start unifi TV app when TVBox is ON?

Unifi now can't access since this evening. it seems the whole Malaysia Unifi is having an outage. most oversea website can't access today. using VPN or google DNS also not solve the problem. restart all equipment also can't solve.

Smithsonian Channel On Demand silently included on Unifi TV’s Catch Up section.

Yes. It also seems like Rock Entertainment team no longer allows new TV providers to carry Smithsonian Channel (linear) as they want them to carry their in-house Global Trekker. One more thing. Unifi TV actually licenses Smithsonian Channel's VOD as part of their Rock Entertainment's carriage deal like how Aniplus VOD is part of K-Plus (linear) and Miao Mi VOD is part of Celestial Movies (linear).

Also, the recent decision made by Warner Bros. Discovery APAC to drop all 5 linear channels from HBO GO implies that they're planning to make HBO channels on more TV providers across Asia, which further supports @Iptvfan's claim that HBO channels along with other Warner Bros. Discovery channels are heading to Unifi TV this July-September.

Or they are going the way of Disney and dropping linear channel altogether

I also believe like this. Now people only use VOD. no more linear channel. Want to watch, just search then watch.

So, nope. They still want to keep their linear channels while operating their OTT app at the same time.

I'm trying to connect my new FibreHome TM router with my good ol STB (OG version, the silver one).

I followed this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32S2ipf10mE (Using VLAN tag 600 dedicated for IPTV)

Then the IPTV is connected just fine, but the problem is that the LAN (for IPTV) seems keep disconnecting (kejap ada kejap takde , like chipsmore)
I tested my cable over LAN(for INTERNET) , all good.

I live-chatted, the guys suggested to follow above youtube guide and also help me reset the port. Yet, there problem is still there.

Anyone here have any lucks doing this without any issue? Thanks.

Maybe ur stb going kong.. usually the power adapter give way 1st.. try change power adapter 1st.

Today I found an unused repeater in my stash so I tried connecting my router and STB over wifi & the connection seems better than using cable. no more chipsmore connection.
So I suspect it has something to do with the router itself (the ethernet port or the setting ).

might be ur power adapter for router going kong also.
i have 2x got like this.. 1st it was stb power adapter.. 2nd time router (or modem, forgot already).. the culprit also power adapter.

Until now no news. Maybe plan abandoned
