Looks like the mobile playtv app is different now

nope issue, unifi tv apps on my samsung smart tv and Unifi plus Box Gen 1.

No prob

From no bug updated to become bug then only realised update screwed up and re-update

The only change on my ATV version: VOD renamed to U PICK

The catch up section on phone app rearranged. Is better

ok I didn't go into that section

If I free will have a look later

Unifi TV app updates:

- On Demand is now U PICK.
- The Catch Up section also got revamped wildly, restoring VOD content categorized via respective TV channels that were once available on White Box & HyppTV Everywhere.
- Then no more annoying “Activate Disney+ Hotstar now” pop-up, like c’mon I’ve already activated it since forever.
- Device Management (aka My Device) finally available on Settings.

Do we have to pay extra for the “on demand “ and “catch up” sections?

Catch up is free. U Pick is like azzetroo first/best but cheaper

how bout subtitles settings?
i just need it to fixed to english

IIRC unlike Astro there is no settings for you to choose a specific language for subtitle/audio. I have this issue too since all subs defaults to Malay and I need to change it manually whenever I change channel. Like, how hard can it be to create that setting? I have complained about that for years now :V

Nice. They have recently started licensing titles from Smithsonian Channel, but they put them under Rock Entertainment's Catch-up section. Hope to see the linear channel soon instead of just VOD along with Aniplus and Miao Mi. They have improved their censorship for U-PICK movies by longer censoring certain swear words like the F-word, but they still censor words that are offensive by targetting at certain group of people. Also, it seems like they're experimenting the HDCP feature to prevent people from recording their content without permission.

To comment back on the latest Unifi TV app's update, I'm really glad that they bring back the "sort by channels" feature while maintaining the existing "sort by genres" one. Regarding the default/preferred subtitles/audio track, they should implement the same one from the mobile version of the app, which will still remember the previous choice of both subtitles and language audio track even after restarting the device multiple times. Well, it shouldn't be an issue since apps like Disney+ Hotstar on UPB have the same "memory" for previously selected subtitles & language audio track.
