I'm lazy to switch between launchers when want to run hyyptv and settings and when to run installed apps. So installed the stock launcher from previous firmware .. now back to the old but beautiful looking homescreen and UI (new one personally I think is ugly), no need launchers switching to run apps.

the new ui best for android 9 version. tm must change new stb. if still stay old stb, unifi tv still lagging.

The TM guy just came just now and install the Unifi Plus Box. He doesn’t seem so sure with the installation as this is only his 2nd time so we explore it together. These are my findings so far:

1) Unifi Plus Box can be connected via Wifi compared to my older Unifi White Box. It connected to LAN3 on the router if want to use via wired.

2) The remote on Unifi Plus Box has no number and no mosaic list of channel. U have to scroll down and right to pick the channel. There is also no info or option to pick subtitle. Hopefully they will fix this with updates similar like the white box.

3) Most of the channel look a bit blurry as most of them don’t support 4k quality yet so have to change the resolution back to 1080p 60kz so it look more clearer.

So since already bought it, I use the new Unifi Plus Box on my old TV which doesn’t support 4k for now and use my old Unifi white box on my living room 4k TV cos it is pretty tiresome to scroll in picking the channel. Once more channels support 4k quality then maybe I’ll switch them.

I got it going with using mouse and the built in browser to download playtv apk from apkmonk, apkplz, then use CTRL+J to open download manager.
But all can't install the apk, it come out "There was a problem parsing the package"

I manage to install Google Play Store from apkmirror but the app can't start  after install

same thing happened to my old modeo (amlogic) box running atvxperience
the latest working version on that box is 1.1.06 mod by pendekar7 (unify playTV AND-TV_1106_rev3).. unfortunately 116 is the version before unifi added the program guide, subtitle and audio options in the app.

Been using unifi tv for a while now and quite satisfied with it ( white box). Any reason to pay extrq monthly to upgrade to the black box? Tq

initially i wanted to exchange at my nearest tm point but i request them to make a report for me to exchange there cause i dont want to explain the whole story again and might be out of stock when i visit.

end up after the report a technician call me say hybrid out of stock now have to wait. i check with him again ytd the stock is there so he delivered it to my house but without collecting the first gen of upb...
i will test it tonight to check on the quality.

the box support IR, but then the remote is Bluetooth connected. u can point at anywhere to on it.
actually this box is quite nice with the blue and red led blinking when u pressed a button.

the silver box is just for unifitv. this 1 can do so much more but without netflix...

Nah, that's only Widevine's limitation.

The interface is similar to any Google TV OS. The only issue I have is the Unifi TV app itself. It's basically shit, where you have to navigate using categories, instead of having a normal EPG like the white box has. So for example, if you want to navigate to a channel where you have no idea which category it's listed under, well have fun scrolling through one by one
