Yeah. the subjectiveness is what I kind of hoping for to get the approval. I only serve PTPTN loan for now, which I did timely payment every month. So I thought the chances for me to get approved are quite high... manatau kena slap on the face pulak.

I have CIMB cash rebate card. Used to be good when it's a 5% cash back for online transactions, although capped at RM30.00 a month. But it was removed some time ago. Online transactions earn normal rebate of 0.02% only nowadys.

Anyway if you are offered another PBB card, there's no harm taking it I suppose. After you build a good record with them, you can always reapply for Quantum.

As for me, my status has now been changed to "pending documentation".

Does PBB call or SMS an application success? Or you always have to find out yourself?

CIMB offers me cause I have my payroll with them. not sure if CIMB trying to steal customer from PB (it's my first card anyway)

For now, I think the weekend dining 12% still attractive enough for me to take CIMB card, PB gold is giving only unlimited 0.1%...

I always talk to the CS to better understanding the status. Mine was always "pending documentation" from IVR, then CS told me it's already pending approval when I called earlier.

I think most people here receive SMS notifying their application result; I am still surprised by my case which they called and told me why my application failed.

Aiyoh... Previous statement got cashback for Shopee transactions. Now, the current statement only give points for all Shopee.

Correction:
My mistake... I looked through the statement again. Actually I earned both cashback and points for Shopee transactions.

They send SMS to notify on your successful application.

You need to register for the campaign asap, and start spending after that.

Will receive approval SMS. Use IVR feature to check status is the fastest, you will not receive rejection SMS though.

1. Called to ask PB VS for RM25 SST offset. Initially the CS say no offset as it's pay to gov, then I mention the last time (didn't quote lyn) there was CS inform me can offset with certain conditions. He check with manager, offer me to spend RM500 within 60 days to offset it. Once complete call them again. I thought I can offset based on my spending pattern (every month maximize the rebate). Anyhow achievable so I didn't request for more.

2. Very efficient to convert my PB QM and QV transaction to 12 months installment. Once call, put down phone, receive SMS that successfully converted.

Really hope PB don't pull/reduce any of the existing benefits after Maybank fiasco. They already took out the 6 months 0% BT early this year.

Same as yours, to spend RM500 within 2 months. But the cs did not ask me to call back again after spent. No sure whether the system will pick up automatically.

Should be case-by-case basis. I just emailed them and they replied that the waiver will be reflected in my next statement. And it was.

I called up CS regarding the SST, too.
Was informed that they will put up a request to the management and subject to approval. No terms mentioned and when I checked today, it was reversed.

Rejection information comes via mail.
Been trying to get PBB card since 2016, applying every 6 months but without any success.
