I have a Quantum MasterCard. If I buy say a RM1200 item and opt for 12 monthly installments of RM100 each, would I get 5% cashback for the RM100 every month (effectively giving me 5% on the RM1200) or would the cashback be based on the purchase price (ie maximum of RM30 only)?

I have CIMB cash rebate card.  Used to be good when it's a 5% cash back for online transactions, although capped at RM30.00 a month.  But it was removed some time ago.  Online transactions earn normal rebate of 0.02% only nowadys.

Anyway if you are offered another PBB card, there's no harm taking it I suppose.  After you build a good record with them, you can always reapply for Quantum.

As for me, my status has now been changed to "pending documentation".

Does PBB call or SMS an application success?  Or you always have to find out yourself?

Update for my case, I managed to convert the spending to FPP after the statement date, the outstanding balance changed to 0 after I received the approval SMS. That is way better than convert to FPP before statement date otherwise I will need to pay the first instalment once the statement is out. Then next working day called to transfer the FPP from QV to QM, quite easy and hassle-free I would say. Thanks for your help btw.
