QUOTE(peishan1201 @ Jan 31 2012, 03:46 PM) HAHAHA. Who's your friend? I'm from the same department too, and like I said.. it ain't all fun and games. They are times when we relax, but for you to label our jobs as "very relax and no stress" is kinda too much.Point is, I don't see myself kicking back when they are high call volumes or when customers scream at you at the top of their lungs when it's not even your fault. One needs first hand experience to make such a bold statement IMO. |

QUOTE(Eddx @ Jan 28 2012, 01:56 PM) Sorry, I know this is hsbc GSE but I applied for the trainee software engineer - IT security post in jobstreet and got a call from them for casual chat and got to know its based in front of masjid jamek. I wonder do I get chance for this job? Currently interested to stay back in kl...i applied to other company outside of KL as well Good luck and be sure to brush up your software engineering knowledge because they will ask that part in detail. SDLC, testing, and you have to do coding or pseudocode too during the interview. I think I failed my interview because I arrived 20 minutes late (stupid komuter delayed 1.5 hour) and I forgot how to do bubble sorting. Interviewers were very nice and have excellent technical knowledge. HR guy also one very cool dude. |

QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ Feb 3 2012, 11:12 PM) Greetings guys, whats the current salary pay for an intern at HSBC and whats the working hours going to be ? If you're looking at HSBC Global Resourcing, which is what this thread is really about (indirectly working for companies - subsidiaries - in London, Hong Kong, and other countries), an internship will be extremely rare because while there is quite a lot of work to go around in many divisions, staff need to undergo rigorous training for the most part because a lot of work is quite specialised. Interns are therefore not suitable. Not impossible (how people in HR and Management work in this country often confounds many of us), but exceedingly difficult. On the other hand the Malaysian retail banking entities, including HSBC Bank and HSBC Amanah, are more likely to have interns (and should at this time of year). In this case you would expect regular working hours. Although, it won't necessarily be a fulfilling internship (in terms of experience and work). |

QUOTE(moomoosky @ Feb 5 2012, 09:20 PM) hi, i was invited to attend assessment at kl office on 7th feb 2012, Well it is one of the largest global banks in the world, working on holidays is expected. Although your concern is very valid, and I'm not really sure how it works - that auxiliary staff (such as Admin/HR) also work on public holidays. But then again, managers can do interviews too.but that day is public holiday, seriously has interview section? anyone can tell me what should do? is it has grammer test ? Assessment is bloody easy. There's nothing you need to do. |

Im still considering which banking stream to venture into though.. -GK- |
