Hey guys, I've just been invited for an interview for this particular position in Cyberjaya. If you guys won't mind what do I need to look out for? Or a chronological order of the interview session? Some tips and tricks maybe?

Kinda nervous here, kinda my first time interviewing for a full time position.

All help will be much appreciated. smile.gif

Hey guys, after a grueling 8 hour interview process. However, most of the time were mostly wasted by waiting anyway, I got the call from HR and got the job. Anyone else got the call today? Btw, this is for the global support executive position. Dont know about the backend positions though. :/

tomorrow? or next Sat? so unfair one, you have more time to prepare if you meant next Sat vmad.gif
I haven't even photocopy all the required documents.

Anyone with experience, could you please tell me will there be only 1 session of interview or more?
cause I heard somebody said 8 hours? o.O

QUOTE(night1218 @ Aug 5 2011, 05:57 PM)
they tell me next tuesday, but i say no. and request on 19/8 OR saturday. so we settle for saturday. next saturday.
there will be at least 3 more session. english test, interview by HR,interview by line manager. i wonder how long it takes too.
*
from my experience, it took my about 8 hours. basically they had me waiting the entire day. the english test, voice assessment, and interview will not take long. like a few forummers have mentioned here before, the tests aren't difficult. basically all you need to do is be yourself, but keep a standard of professionalism in how you behave and the whole thing will be a breeze (cept for the wait though, that could really exhaust you lol)

anywayyy, im going for my induction on the 11th of august! anyone here going for their inductions at the same time? =X

Just to let you all know (those who will be going for this weeks induction). You wont be getting your permanent lockers by next week. Especially those who are working on the 3rd floor. Meanwhile you can use the temporary lockers.
*
Why? :/ Anyway, as long as they are lockers I wouldn't mind.

Sorry to ask dis.  Tmw goin to collect offer letter.. must wear formal?  Or jeans and t-shirt allowed as mentioned by others before?  Please anyone? Don't want to look odd you know...
*
Basically there is no stated dress code, however you should ook presentable. Smart casual wear would be appropriate IMO.

Guys.. all these questions u should settle with HR or line manager during interview and signing of offer letter... If you don't ask, you don't know, and then you get blur, disappointed, etc.

Always read your offer letter before you sign. All the terms and conditions there. Don't have, ASK. No harm ASKING. Buta-buta masuk kerja je.. swt ><

Added on August 13, 2011, 12:23 amInduction 2 days. Means no working. Just sit in training room listening to presentations about safety and security, transportation, culture, benefits blabla. First day maybe you should wear smart a bit, no need tie of course. Second day, can wear jeans. But please ask first if you can do so out of general courtesy la.
*
I see this happen a lot lately. I was in induction and most of the people there don't know where they are placed. I would understand if you don't know what department you are in but some of them were up to the point where they don't know which office they are based in! doh.gif

Note to everyone, do ask the HR people that were handling you during the collection of your offer letter of any inquiries or doubts you have and not sign the letter blindly. It's common sense.

i think the new dress code is just a bit extreme. especially for us who work night shifts. we don't make any outside contact anyway, i don't see why we need to dress formally. professionalism can be reflected in the service we provide. point is.. it's redundant, for the lack of a better word. :/

based on my experience, DTS will be punctual most of the time. but whatever the circumstances are, always have a backup plan. also save DTS's contact details on your phone just in case smile.gif

good luck people and welcome to hsbc hahaha

need to book seats?  rclxub.gif
but then when the hr lady called to confirm my attendance, she asked whether i am taking their bus or not and said she will inform the bus driver....dunno whether is this counted or not..

called the DTS hotline (1300227387) just now...erm, not very helpful cause i was put on hold and in the end was told to refer back to hsbc itself ><
*
Aiyer, no need panic lah. Just get on the bus tmr morning at the designated pick up point. If the driver asks you then just say you're new going for induction in hsbc. The drivers should be informed about this.

U all no need book yet, when you get your I-button and the login Id only you can start booking.

HAHAHA. Who's your friend? I'm from the same department too, and like I said.. it ain't all fun and games. They are times when we relax, but for you to label our jobs as "very relax and no stress" is kinda too much.

Point is, I don't see myself kicking back when they are high call volumes or when customers scream at you at the top of their lungs when it's not even your fault.

One needs first hand experience to make such a bold statement IMO. wink.gif
