nope. I intrvw at cyberjaya. Done the 2nd interviw today. They offered me basic 1800. No allowance. Because no shift start at 8.00PM and above for UK dept. Huhu.

I think i m more prefer for US. Can i request to change? Hm..

which process? HSS? GBM? GP?

HR wont know everything whether there is allowance or not.hence u nid to ask someone who is inside the process u about to join.

did my final interview @ klc today... feel like crying... hehe...

i saw everyone in klc wearing formal to compare with cyb, is it memang like that or just today?

when i interview at klc oso, i oso not sure i meet their expectation and guess what, i got the offer. haha.

well, the dress code had change to mon-thursday = Formal, Friday-SMART casual. so...ya.

The 2nd interview was held by the manager of the dept itself. I ask everything about salary, allowance and other benefits. Sadly no allowance he said. And he want me to promise, must not leave HSBC before 1year if I accept the offer. I just smile and said "no problemo!".

By the way, whos in the UK dept here? Doing the back end processing (not cust service). Wanna ask few Q in case i miss anything regards to this position.

Loanshark, can u tell me allowance for hss?? i also dont know..

First, working in a call center, politics sure got, indeed, some one stated cleary, specially Indian, not being racist here, but I have worked with along of Indian management company, I was told by my ex boss, which is appearently an Indian tells me that this is the 'custom'.. Thy tend to talk along.. Second, if you're ok to adept the changes in the company, maybe say every 4 months? Third, you might need to butter up all the kaya and butter to work your way up. There is along in a call center, why? The manager are too young, that explain. Fourth, working in graveyard shift. Fifth, the most important, can stand the pressure that given not just by the management, but the.customer as well, imagine you are to serve 'tigerians'. They May look educated, but I have been in the field, I know how dumb or nasty they can be.

As a piece of advice, keep rack of your records.when you.deal.with them.

one thing about hdpm they are stringent with ref checks.i suggest you call back hdpm and ask if you can correct them if can be corrected la.they very particular with the back ground checks any false or mistaken info =no job.

but on the other hand, it is quiet easy to get the job. imo the assessment is the only hurdle to decide whether u will be offered the job or not..

should be in the processing, but if you want to know which dept exactly are you in then you would want to ask later when meeting with your line manager at the end of the 1st day induction. btw new joinees who are going to KLC also take offer letter and go through induction days in CYB too.

Hmm.. received an email from HSBC HR. Told me to go for medical check-up and collect the offer letter. But i m still not satisfied with the salary. Expected 2.1k but only gimme 1.8k. Also no allowance. UK working hour.

They said, 'take it, or leave it'. Walauweh.

Hmm.. need to think whether want to go or not this HSBC.

p/s: i target 2k per month. If not, better i do part time job. Also can gain 1k +++.

hsbc hr is like that. i know perfectly how u feel. my advice is if u dun have any other chance just take the job.

why?

because it will provide u experience from a reputable group. since u r working in uk hour, u will have ample time in the morning to go for interviews etc.
