The only advantage is cheap. But it’s quite troublesome actually due to reset is required after software update if not mistaken.

Since we have the nano Sim already. Unless we apply new turbo Sim for extra phone.

Just now went to google, even the Sim tray have to converted as well.

Lots of sellers are like that simply throwing up such statement. Am sure turbo sim sets won't be entertain here. Anyway many had suggested one write in first to Apple for warranty claiming before heading off to any service center. Apparently if accepted by Apple you would get some sort of reference number
Good luck trying to claim such foreign sets

I’ll get the local set then..lol
Btw guys what’s the best current deal to get the XS online?qoo10 have discount right now?

The purpose of a TurboSIM is to spoof the iPhone when the carrier is requested by the baseband firmware, so that if the iPhone is carrier locked, it believes that the SIM is from the carrier to which the iPhone is locked.

This has nothing to do with your nano sim bro. biggrin.gif

It has been around since the IPhone 5 for users to use carrier sim locked IPhones. I never bought these type of iPhones before personally though it is usually much cheaper.

Nope my main is Starhub data plan only
Secondary was celcom prepare line.

Now is switching over, the secondary was Starhub data plan & main put on celcom roaming.

Even my main line was roaming now.
The secondary line still accessible to internet and hotspot

Go research what is Hotlink APN and go secondary there manual set APN, after that restart the phone.
*
Look like that's play a trick. I was thinking swap the main and secondary sim,
Primary : Singtel
Secondary : Hotlink

into this..

Primary : Hotlink
Secondary : Singtel

What I observed was secondary data unable to set APN which triggered this issue.

On my side, I noticed some apps update automatically while connected to WiFi but one or two apps still require manual update. Not sure if it’s the app itself.

I found few online sellers selling US and UK set and unlocked by turbo sim..is there any possibility of getting trouble using that phone in Malaysia  and how about the warranty..does it cover by apple malaysia?
*
just avoid turbo sim set.. not worth the hassle... everytime you reset your phone you need to do the setup. In case new ios is out and you need to reset your phone, you will have to wait for turbo sim to release ICCID for the latest ios before you can do that!

not to mention it will be very difficult to sell off your set in future...

HK set sold by T&L is it can claim warranty here? I mean directly to Apple Authorised service centre here, not to send back to them.

Not sure if this discuss earlier or not but I missed a lot in the discussion. Hope don't mind to answer if this is a repeat question.

Don't think is app specific is probably how the AppStore handles the auto updates perhaps.

I think the auto update not immediately... maybe wait for specific time before proceed.

Yeah, coz the XS Max from HK has dual physical SIM, which is different from our local set but the XS is similar i.e. eSIM + physical SIM.
