Getting Started

|
QUOTE(coolblade @ Jul 1 2007, 07:11 AM) [attachmentid=255592] [attachmentid=255593] I don't know why I got BSOD at 1.30v, then I have to pump again the 1.35v vcore, which in CPUZ it's shown as 1.376v To all, any workaround to get default vcore when clocking at 2.4 GHz (or 2.6 GHz perhaps)? @dblooi and kalakatu now I understand why I got BSOD previously. I forgot to update the BIOS, therefore the cpu wouldn't boot into windows at default vcore. Now I am using BIOS downloaded from this website: http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/t-seri...os.php?S_ID=161After applying this BIOS update, I can boot at 2.477 GHz at 1.28v (default vcore?). I'll keep on bumping the clockspeed tonight. hehehe... Anyone can confirm that this is the latest BIOS for tforce 550? This post has been edited by coolblade: Jul 3 2007, 07:25 AM

u need to find "HT multiplier" or similiar name which is usually located under your bios overclocking section...

looked at the manual.. u should find Cpu Frequency (Mhz) if any.. in MB Intelligent Tweaker (MIT) use 300 - 400 should consider the HTT Mul as 3x - 4x if no option.. use other bios...

QUOTE(nonoking @ Jul 3 2007, 11:25 AM) what is the key,i press CRTL+F1 alraedy....still cant get it!!! WTH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your board is this one right? GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-DS4 Ver2.0 For sure have wan, even the lowest end Gigabyte board has the setting for HTT multiplier (was testing out a board at a PC shop). If Ctrl+F1 doesn't work, try Shift+F1. You must press it in the main menu of the bios, additional menus may appear, and additional options will appear in existing menus. You have to press the key combination every time you go into the BIOS, or else it will remain hidden. This post has been edited by lohwenli: Jul 3 2007, 11:38 AM
