no
RM15 is to keep the number forever, not the sim card
sim card is RM60 with a week plan included and VPN(which cannot use)
*
In that case, just to keep the number without SIM card, it is excessively high cost.

Just wondering, why would you want to just keep the number for?

if you keep the number, u don't need to get a new sim card everything u go to china
you can just reuse the same simcard forever

RM15 to just keep number is very expensive.

If you got China relative, ask them to give you a sub line for as low as RM5 and it is fully functional SIM.

My misunderstanding. I thought it is RMB 15 EVERY MONTH. For sub line or family line, I have seen it for RMB 5 monthly

just fill it when you arrive
you can fill it online but don't bother, there is a very high chance the machine is malfunctioned when you arrive at the airport(which is my case)

and that machine isn't some special machine, it's basically printing out a pre-filled arrival card for you only

You mean, just fill this arrival card manually when arriving? And not bother with those online pre-fill in TnG apps etc?

yes, i did the online one only to find out the machine isn't working/malfunctioned and this is in shanghai airport
and bear in mind
1. u have to search for that machine
2. there is one 1(ONE) machine in the whole airport laugh.gif
3. the machine also never label that it is that machine
4. this online filling only applicable to 1 handful of china airport only(not all airport)

so might as well just fill in manually on the spot before crossing immigration

I have seen a few of those machines/kiosks but don't know what are they for. A few people were there but the majority just walk straight pass them so I did too.

Thanks for the head up

I would encourage you to fill it online first. I had no problem at KunMing airport. Even if printer down, at least you have all your necessary data to transcribe to a physical form.
