Dear Bro

Thanks for your interest in Time Fibre, We are Time Fibre Distributor can help you on registeration and arrangement for installation.

Under normal circumstances , There is new fibre cable need to pull from the Riser to your door of entry if you change to Time Fibre as Time and Maxis Fibre do not utilise same type infra.

Thanks

Hi Koay,

I'm not sure what is said by TIME riser & Management Riser, normally there is one riser dedicated for Internet & telephony services.

The technician should troubleshoot section by section. If they said eveything is ok at the riser, that means they already gotten the fibre reading, else it would simply mean they are simply doing nothing.
They should show it to you & explain to you.

Please give me more details :

1) Is your building prelaid with fibre infrastructure (in layman term it means your house already furnished with fibre port when the moment you take your keys) ?
If you are unsure, try to take some pics to show me.

2) If your building is prelaid with fibre infra, is it still under DLP ? If so, the developer/appointed management should rectify for you FOC with condition there is no tampering on the said infra.
TIME SI will only check your fibre reading at your unit, what is the fibre reading they got ? Do note that they are not responsible for the troubleshooting at the riser.

3) If your building is prelaid with fibre infra and the DLP is over, what is the fibre reading you got at the FTB located at the riser ? And also in your unit ?

4) The TIME SI (technician) should also verify what is the fibre reading out from the TIME splitter located at the MDF/SDF/TR/Riser.
If the above troubleshooting is too much hassle for you, try to request TIME to reset your profile.
I'm not sure how accurate the detection method in the selfcare. There are cases where we on-site gotten good readings but detected as high reading & vice versa.
In short, get the fibre reading first. Then only proceed with more detailed troubleshooting.
Thanks.

End up my fiber cable was all okay, wasted RM180 for the 3rd party troubleshooting by external technician send by building management. I call up Time and told them everything was fine, and then they said they will repush my profile again to 500mbps. After they did tat issue resolved. I asking TIME to compensate as they said the issue is not with them but with my fiber cable. But i dont think they gonna compensate.

Still pending their update but gonna make a complaint to MCMC

It is quite good. However, I have bridged it for use on my own router. My installer did not know how to do it as it was his first day installing the ONU + Router  tongue.gif . There are various guides online and you need to disable the WiFi after doing so as it is pointless to use the ONU after that point.

I am currently using Huawei HG8145 + Omni Mesh.

I am replacing the Omni Mesh with TP-Link Deco M5 but couldn't get the Deco M5 connected to the internet, had tried to followed all the instructions given still end up shown it's not connected.

There was a step to choose for connection, PPPoE, Static IP, Dynamic IP and so on... I had tried the PPPoE and key in my TIME username and password and also a more straight forward Static IP option, both also unable to connect to the internet.

Will it be the Deco cannot communicate with the Huawei modem?

My connection :
Fiber > Huawei HG8145 > Cat6 Cable > Deco M5 > WIFI

Hello, set Deco Mesh Router as an AP.
As the Huawei Mesh is 2 in 1 ONU+Router.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thak you for your interest in TIME Fibre.

If your building/tower is prelaid with fibre infrastructure by the developer, the same fibre infra could be reused back.

If the fibre is previously laid by Maxis, then you will need to have new fibre cable pulled in for TIME.

Do contact us & we will asisst you to sort out everything.

Thanks.

Hi, it's sad to hear your issue, one good example of having inexperienced Proj people & SI.

So with the RM180 do they provide you with any test report ? Any OTDR report ? What is the loss happened at each part of the infra ? Total dB loss from MDF to unit ?

With this detail report the only you can talk to TIME.
But end of the day, too bad I believe noone would want to admit their fault.

Hi,

I am using a DIR-882 router and I am trying to figure out how to enable the port forward function. I've explored all the available options but the next closest thing I found is IP Filter.

Please advice. Thanks.

Try clicking on each setting to see if there are any options for that. It could be under a different tab.
