Does the time installer know how to set up mesh?
For non Time equipment, if they can/want to setup for you, there will be extra charge of RM80/hour, capped at RM300/day, following the rate card which the SI will show to you prior to any work start.

That means one cable need to pull to first floor for this to work?
If can, that will be perfect, but this cable pulling work is not includes in the above-mentioned charge, standard charge for UTP Network cable is RM10/m, again the SI will show you the rate card & get your consent prior to any work start.

Hi All, i,ve Subscribe to TIME 100mbps since 2021, i've notice that the wifi coverage have been declined since 2024. like im able to connect 5G from the Modem Location around 7m away (My study Area). but now it cant even detect it at all. Wonder if there is any newer model to upgrade the modem?

Don't blame NTT, blame the Telco.

I am using another ISP that's using NTT, heck, even my transit provider in SG that's using NTT is not affected.

Wonder why? NTT is charging based on traffic and the ISP is not willing to pay for more hence, more traffic shaping.

Update on my inquiry after further investigation.. seems like Time Internet is on double nat

based from whatsmyip.com my ip address is 161.142.146.xxx range which shows it is owned by Time

but my router shows my ip range is 100.67.104.xxx with gateway 100.67.96.1

Don't know if it's because of my area (where I moved last December)

Hi, may I know if the early termination penalty for Time is only RM500, or are there additional terms and conditions? I googled around and found that some penalties remain for the contract.
Yes they ahve revised the contract for premature termination which results in penalty of remaining months.
Which router is better between Unifi and Time?
Both also not up to performance. Though, time 2Gbps plan router, Huawei HN8245X6, is a better option.
I'm currently deciding between a Unifi 100Mbps and a Time 200Mbps subscription. From what I understand, Unifi is cheaper at RM89, but the price will increase to RM99 once the contract ends.

My Umobile Home Fibre contract only ended around next year March. I am thinking of terminating it and change it to Time 200Mbps RM99/month. Since Umobile already gave me wifi6 Huawei routers, I guess I do not need Time's free routers, which mean i can opt for not being tied with contract, am I right?
If you opt to go for No Contract plan, then there is a OTC of RM400/650/800 to be paid.

Under easy switch arrangement, only max of RM500 will b rebated into yr monthly bill progressively, applicable to 600Mbps plan & above.
Then I got no problem opting for contract, since I intended to stay with Time for long period of time.

Hi, sorry for the very late reply but thank you nonetheless for reaching out to help. 

I did managed to find a network contractor to solve the issue. There was bending on the cable where it came out from the wall, guess my general contractor wasn't aware that fiber cables cannot bend too much (I also didn't know until this happened  ).

To avoid having to hack the wall, he spliced the cable at the riser box outside and tried to straighten as much as possible the cable inside my house. Managed to get a reading of- 23.5dB after that.

Hi there, just wondering if anyone on TIME has experienced intermittent disconnects?

My desktop will randomly disconnect from my home network for about 10-15 seconds or so before reconnecting so I was wondering if anyone has faced similar issues recently. TIA!

I was informed by a Time agent that I could apply for a 600 Mbps plan at RM139, with the first six months free. After six months, I could request to downgrade the plan to 200 Mbps; however, the two-year contract would restart. I wonder if anyone has tried this.
It's RM40 rebate on each month for the first 6 months, and RM139 on the 7th month onwards. The Free 6 months promo only counter offer when you wish to leave.
Initially, I was thinking of subscribing to the 200 Mbps package and upgrading the router to Wi-Fi 7 (for better coverage), with an additional one-time payment of RM99.
No point getting this...go for your own WiFi6 Router will be good enough, at least for now.

both are decent & budgetary routers with fairly good performance.
- Or have others ?

I disabled the 2.4GHz band on my router and left only the 5GHz active but this is a major mistake because there is major channel congestion—my Wi-Fi kept dropping. After making the change, I tried logging back into the router's control panel but couldn’t—looks like I made an amateur mistake and forgot the password.

No problem, I thought—I’ll just reset it. But after the reset, while I can now access the admin panel, there’s no option anywhere to enter my PPPoE credentials. No button, no field, nothing. Is there a special way to enter pppoe credentials on time new router? HG8145B7N

The public IP address from Time, is it fixed IP address that bind to our account? yesterday turn off the router for 1 minute and after that realize getting back the same public IP address.
