But why those signed-up after 15th April 2024 cannot downgrade? Only when I choose signed-up before 15th April 2024, only then I get the downgrade button from the live chat bot. It is better I follow them or just cheat (my subscription is already over 8 months).

Hi guys, wondering if anyone could help me.

I installed 2GBps package with time and they provided me with Huawei OptixStar HN8245X6s XGS-Pon Terminal to be used as router modem.

But since I already have an ASUS AiMesh setup with 98BE and a couple BQ16s I told the installer to put the Huawei in bridge mode and I want to use the 98BE as my modem router but the installer claimed that for 2GBps Huawei device provided thus was not possible.

So I had to use the automatically receive IP settings in the WAN page of my 98BE but this is obviously not ideal because it will cause remote connection into my house network issues especially since I use wire guard vpn.

Any ideas how to overcome this?

Morning all, I recently subscribed to TIME for my new home. I have renovated it in such that I have relocated my fibre wall socket to within a tiny utility room just after my entrance. I pulled Cat6 cable to the ceiling of a passageway to the rooms for POE convenience.

Does anyone have any experience setting up an ASUS AX3000 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Power over Ethernet (PoE)? I tried configuring it via the Asus Expert Wifi app and though it shows successful, I can't connect to the created SSID.

I reached out to TIME and they say in order to use a 3rd party router, I have to set this ASUS router to bridge mode. But I can't seem to find this setting. If anyone has any input or experience with this, appreciate some assistance, even a home visit which I'll gladly pay a token for your time.

Coz right now, my master room/bath do not get signal from the TIME modem cum router in the utility room. And other rooms signal is poor. I need the ASUS to at least be an AP at the designated location.

My account is contract free 200Mbps and I'm terminating time to unifi as they have quite a good 'jump isp' promotion right now, also I'm moving out to landed unit soon.

Live chat on selfcare to terminate, they will ask for contact numbers and reason.

A day later cs call to offer free 6 months bill + free relocation fee + 24m contact renewal and only able to accept over the phone only. I decline, then they will open the 'link' to terminate on selfcare which are hidden by default. However there are 30d notice to terminate with 1 month advance payment upon submitting the termination request.

Immediately, open a case with mcmc regarding the 30d notice with some template found over reddit.

The next working days, a different cs call me (assuming the one that handling mcmc case) to verify some stuff before allowing me to terminate within 48h and will be pro-rated and refund for the current month
This should be the way. The 1 month advance notice, advance payment & hide the Termination button, are some tricks impeding termination process.

I've asked my TIME salesperson for ONU instead but they said must get the ONR.
It is given based on the type of building record in the system. Customer is not allowed to simply request for the equipment change.
Do you know what's the process to obtain the admin password? Or can I ask the installer to provide this?

I didnt have the installer do anything cause I am using back my old router. But I wanted to test this new router so I plug it in. I cant find where to set PPPoE - where ah? You need to login to create an New WAN connection with the given credentials, alternatively after it has been authenticated by the OLT (with the password given), then, the new profile will automatically pushed over within 30mins time.

Btw this thing seems to be not only a wifi router but also act as a Gpon terminal? I can see got a socket for the fibre cable to go in. And it also have a telephone port. I wonder if this thing can serve as a switch as well?
Yes it is. Yes it can be configured as switch.

Sorry I dunno much about networking but i can set the usual PPPoE and WiFi stuff

what about 200Mbps if renew 24 months contract, can get 6 months free also? if yes, will be really good.

first Press & hold WPS - this is the main unit or the second unit? Dont you have to press the other unit's WPS button as well?

the given mesh wifi router is just a trash..

if u really want to buy one more unit to create the mesh, i would strongly discourage u to do so, unless u are doing wired backhaul and NOT wireless backbhaul.

Using dual-band mesh for wireless backhaul is the worst experience u can get.

So far I use the mesh just for devices that doesn't require full bandwidth such as SIP phone (LAN) and IP camera (LAN as well). As long as got minimum 50 Mbps should be sufficient.

For termination, we have to provide 30 days notice, there's no way to get around this? If I submit the cancellation request today, the earliest I can cancel would 30 days later?
