QUOTE(Gregar Forte @ Nov 12 2021, 12:40 PM) Greetings TIMErs. I would like to ask opinion on international routing on TIME vs unifi mainly. I read from this thread about the congestion on TIME own pipeline around last years MCO where everyone stayed at home which is quite bad. Can you guys can enlighten me on TIME performance nowadays? Thank you Performance wise is still quite promising, at least in Malaysia.... The slowness (if any) you experienced during MCO period most probably does not relates International Routing..

QUOTE(Dembeee @ Nov 16 2021, 08:43 PM) Usually for newly completed apartment, how long will it take for ISP to come in and offer? Hi, no standard time frame, it depends on case by case, and whether your developer has requested TIME to come in earlier.

QUOTE(snowcrash @ Nov 22 2021, 06:58 PM) Hi guys, I've been using TIME for a couple of years now, and am thinking of taking up the "free" recontract offer to the Essential Booster pack. I've currently got the TP LInk 1200 router, with the recontract will they provide a new router +2 mesh nodes, or is it just the 2 mesh nodes? If it's just the 2 mesh nodes, will I get to continue using the TP Link 1200 as a router as well, or is that not a good idea? Hi, only 2 mesh nodes. Wait for WiFi6 ...

QUOTE(darren_yuri @ Nov 25 2021, 05:29 PM) My house really unable to avoid the L-corners for the location of the mesh nodes. I have no idea how to re-locate those mesh nodes anymore. Plus I cannot drill any holes on the wall to mount the mesh nodes. Hi, please kindly share your unit layout diagram, perhaps you would want to go for better performance mesh nodes....

QUOTE(darren_yuri @ Nov 26 2021, 01:12 AM) Here is my unit layout diagram. My primary router setup near the fibre socket at living room, located on the wall shared with Bedroom 2. Then the TIME installer he setup the mesh nodes inside Bedroom 3 and Master Bedroom. Because the mesh nodes are provided by TIME so I do not want to make any changes or modifications to the setup.. Can I know how to rectify the issues? What is the model of your primary router ? And how does Mesh Node in Bedroom 3 link to primary router ?

QUOTE(Seng89 @ Nov 25 2021, 11:35 PM) Hi guys, anyone got this promotion ? Is it worth ? I'm currently using ax73 router. If upgrade this package will have any issue ? After 24 months I can just downgrade back to 100mbps right? Stick to your AX73 better.

QUOTE(eugene66 @ Nov 26 2021, 08:05 PM) Hey guys, I need some advice here. I'm currently using 100mbps with no contract, and I'm using TP Link AC1200 router given by TIME previously. My apartment is 800 sqft, basically the coverage of the current router is quite good except the corner of my second room where 5ghz network signal will drop drastically. I'm thinking of getting this fix in a cost effective way. So, shall I: 1. Upgrade my plan to 300mbps and change to the new router that given by TIME? 2. Upgrade to 500mbps with 2 given free mesh router? 3. Purchase a better router/ mesh myself instead of getting one from TIME? 4. Any other suggestion? Appreciate if sifu here can give me a cost effective solution as I'm kinda tight on budget. Thank you HI, if you dont want to be tied with another 2 years contract, then you can get a decent budgetary router like TP-Link AX20 router / Huawei AX3 Pro. Thanks.

QUOTE(Harfan @ Nov 26 2021, 08:27 PM) Hi guys! Been using TIME (100 Mbps) for the past 2 years and they offered me the loyalty promo. Basically, I can get 300 Mbps and 1 mesh router for an additional RM 10 per month. Speed was never an issue for me. I can load up Netflix, browse the internet and watch Youtube all good so far. Just that I cannot get a decent speed in the master bedroom. So, a mesh router probably will solve that. It's tempting but there's some question: 1. If I take the promo, will it bind to another 1-year or 2-year contract? Yes bind another 2 years contract.2. If not, can I just opt out of the promo at any time? 3. In your opinion, do you think the promo is worth it? You can read through the forum and get some hints Thank you!

QUOTE(Seng89 @ Nov 27 2021, 12:00 AM) The promo price quite nice eh. Just the router will be suck and I can't opt to stay with my ax73 ? And the mesh can't link with my ax73 right. Hi, you cant create mesh with AX73 & Huawei WA8021V5 mesh nodes. Unless you dont mind configuring WA8021V5 as wireless extender/AP. Bear in mind the performance of WA8021V5 is not on par with your AX73. Thanks.

QUOTE(eugene66 @ Nov 27 2021, 07:50 PM) Hi bro, Do you know if i were to go for Tp link AX20, can i setup my current Tp link Ac1200 and put inside my room as wifi extender? Hi, if you have a network cable, then you can setup AC1200 as AP, but you wont be able to wirelessly bridge the 2 devices. There is a workaround to enable the hidden WDS function by editing the html, but it might not work on all firmware. You can try that. Thanks.

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Nov 29 2021, 11:18 AM) Guys, by any chance Huawei HG8240H5 ONU will get spoilt due to life span etc? Been using TIME since 2017 and WFH since March 2020. Can't afford to have downtime. I have spare router but not the ONU. Just having a thought in case the ONU fails. Hi, rarely happens, even though when it's faulty, usually caused by the faulty power adaptor, you can easily get one to replace while waiting for SI to attend to your case. Thanks.

QUOTE(darren_yuri @ Nov 29 2021, 03:43 PM) Primary router is TP Link EC230-G1. The mesh node in Bedroom 3 linked wirelessly? Hi, your current configuration is not really proper as the mesh nodes is wirelessly bridged with the EC230, you should be connecting using a network cable to achieve optimum performance at least for the 1st node, and then mesh the 2nd node with the 1st node wirelessly. If there is no way to run any network cable, then you remove the EC230, and configure the 1st Mesh Node to dial PPPOE, and the 2nd node pairing with it. Thanks.
