Guys i need help - Would like to improve my Network with Deco M4.
Existing setup is ONT (HG8240H5) > Mesh (WA8021V5) > Deco M4 (Dynamic IP) > Deco M4 (Satelite - Room)

I tried to setup my Deco as Router - PPPOE but it doesn't connect
I read from this forum that on some case we need to call Time to setup into bridge, but that is for those who use 2in1 ONT/ONU/Mesh Router provided, for my case it isn't.
So wonder what went wrong?

I set VLAN to 499 and Priority 0

Setup with M4 as PPPOE

ONT (HG8240H5) > Deco M4 (PPPOE) > Deco M4 (Satelite - Room)

Any help highly appreciated .....
I believe this setup can further improve speed and snappiness compared to using Dynamic IP through the huawei Mesh

This is a weird one. After getting a new IP, my TIME Home Broadband can't route to my office anymore. Funny thing is, my office is also using TIME. Both sides when trying to traceroute would like just found a dark hole and can't proceed.

Funny thing is, any other ISP can see either one (my house and my office) fine. So right now I have an issue that I can't connect to any system that is hosted on my office's server unless I use my telco's connection. And the phone coverage in my area sucks.

I think I will reboot my modem untill I get an IP range that can see my office's IP again

I just get my free Huawei WA8021V5. It was loaded with TIME firmware. Does anyone manage to flash it with vanilla firmware?

It's for you to wirelessly bridge another wifi broadcasting device eg. repeater/extender.

Anyone using pi-hole and ads are blocked successfully with Huawei HG8145V5 router?

Previously using Unifi and it was working correctly, after changing to Time, even though pointing my phone/devices dns server to pi-hole ip address but none of the ads are being blocked.
Please request from our CS to switch the DNS to Google's or whichever you preferred.

Also facing some laggy issues streaming tea tv movies, 30Mbps Unifi to 100Mbps Time macam no difference, pls help to advise? Thanks
Not at our end so far.

On a side note, tvbox chrome browser speedtest.net gives about 25Mbps but downloading the speedtest.net app shows 90Mbps, really puzzled.
Please try on different browser, and temp turn off any backend resources consuming services.

hi guys i have this problem idk if its memang like that or its a 'problem'..

regarding ipv6, i notice that if i want to have ipv6 i need to restart the router every like half-day to 1 day or so.. because the ipv6 will be gone every time after that period. sometimes it is as fast as half a day sometimes after 1 day the ipv6 no more..

this is what i mean:

as you can see in the SS, under the ipv6 section, there is no router ipv6 address and no assigned prefix..

Current TIME user with 500 plan AC1200 router, no contract. So i just noticed on the promo which means i can get 2x omnimesh if i re-contract.

I called CS,stating from website AC1200 is not compatible. So was informed the Omni mesh will be the router instead.

Any review on the unit? currently i have no problem with the AC1200. Is ok to just let the Omni take over AC1200?

Will the TP-link support the omni?

I have an issue I hope someone would be able to help me out with.

Initially, when Time setup the Internet at home, there are two created:

xxx_5g (5GHz only)
xxx (2.4GHz only)

However, now I see that xxx (which is supposed to be for 2.4GHz channel) also has a 5GHz version under the same name. I'm not sure if this has caused some issues as sometimes the xxx network has only 1 bar, when in the past should be higher. I assume it is because the device is connecting to the 5GHz band, and only to 2.4Ghz when it drops off.

How can I solve this? I did not tinker with anything so not sure how come it's like that. I am also pretty sure that when the setup was done, there was no issue. This issue is more recent (last 2 weeks).

Hi, been running 300MB Time with the Huawei WA8025V5 upgrade from my previous TP-Link EC230, but ever since the upgrade I get random lag spikes from playing Apex Legends. I tried a lot of solutions like opening ports, malware scanning, changing cables, DNS flushing, restarting the router etc but it could be that the WA8025 is not up to par. Will revert back to the EC230 (have not tried that yet) to see if the problem persists.

I'm planning to change the router as a last resort; is there any decent Time compatible routers out there I can purchase?

Hi all, I’m currently on 100mb Time. Recently my house added a android TV box. I don’t know if it’s related but I’m having buffering here and there while streaming shows on my PC. The TV box, my parents use them. I wonder if it’s related? But I thought 100mb package would be quite enough.

Budget maybe in the realm of RM500~ I concentrate more on minimal lag performance for gaming so not really looking for enterprise grade. Any specific model I should be looking at? Mesh is optional (since I live in small room Condo)
For router settings will Time technicians set it up or me as a user can set up?

I have found the cause of the issue; the Huawei WA8025V5 was definitively not up to par in terms of network load. Maybe day-to-day activities it's an alright router. I like the compact size too.
I connected back the EC230 and the problem was resolved; I still would like to consider a new router.

Can I request for the SI on Self-care or is there a separate hotline for this?

The agent offered us an upgrade few days back (with new contract of course) and she said this Huawei WA8025V5 is better than TP-Link EC230. But your report seems to contradict her claim.

The installation with new free Huawei WA8025V5 is scheduled mid of next week.

Can I cancel? How should I do that? Via app or email message? I don't want to upgrade if new router is worse than before.

Hi, I having a issue on my home network here.
This problem has been persist for over half year now.

I got upgraded with Huawei Omnimesh wa8021v5 mesh WIFI half year ago, it is suppose to cover the WIFI blind spots in my home (apartment). The installer installed both mesh WIFI in different part of the house.

Router is TP-Link AC1350 EC230-G1 also provided by TIME.

The problem I am facing right now is, my phone unable to roam between mesh WIFI, meaning that when I go to certain part of the house although my phone indicated that my WIFI signal is connected and strong but I couldn't access to the internet until I toggle off and on the WIFI.
This is a known problem. Try placing the Mesh Nodes within line of sight, avoid L-corners if possible.

This problem happen on my phone and sometimes my android tablet, I have reset both my devices yet still the same problem.

May I know what's the reason?
And I also noticed that one of the SSID from the mesh WIFI said "5Ghz" but the network is "2.4Ghz" according to the WIFI analyzer app.
Probably your case the link between Node 1 & Node 2 is meshed with 2.4GHz band.

i will end my time fiber by end of the year due to relocation. already submit the form needed via online. do i need to return any modem or etc to time fiber center?
