200Mbps as compared to ??? Mbps. ?

500Mbps

QUOTE(ChenKaiWen @ Dec 17 2023, 11:58 AM)
Yes that is how it looks. Link speed between AP looks good. I live in landed and had the main unit floor above mesh. I could get 200mbps with around 400 link speed. I think it's something else that's affecting your wifi speed.

link speed between the nodes is good but i could not get good speed. sad.gif

That's the performance of AX3000 system tongue.gif

You need AX6600 and above to get 500Mbps

500Mbps is rather good wifi speed.
My laptop get about 425 - 426 Mbps through an aimesh wifi (not wired) node at a distance of 4m from the main router.

Like that it is even worst than my wifi 5 Linksys mesh. It can at least attain 300Mbps++ of speed at the child node…

500Mbps is only attainable within the line of sight and near to the main node. If away also cannot hit full speed.

No surprise to me. Never bothered with ISP stock routers be it TM or Time.

initially tot that once moving to apartment, the coverage and speed by rite should be better given that the area is smaller. who knows it is even harder than landed. vmad.gif

speed inside my study room which the wall next to it is where the huawei ONT located.

Condo WiFi is tough.

RC slab walls blocking signal + high desity of AP from neighbors.

AP from you neighbors can mess up you speed make it super slow. My handy wifi always set to auto.
Auto is the best if the hardware is really support it.

I have yet to see any stock routers that the ISPs give are worthy.

TIME used to give Linksys router back then and I have neighbors still using that to this date

Unpopular opinion but I think the D-LINK DIR-850L that they used to give are pretty decent at that point of time

The TP-Link Archer C1200 might perform better than this new Wi-Fi 6 too although it's prone to reboot issue

TP-Link Archer C1200 is one of the worst routers ever given, constantly crashes under load and stuck in bootloop.

It is thick and strong obviously to drop the speed that much.

Suffering….

Although latency is still low…

Still on my 2 node XT8 setup. Bro, is the XT12 or the ET12 a more recommended upgrade?

Hmm, I would say 6GHz is really bad at wall penetration. Like it's almost totally gone after 2 RC slab wall.

I personally use the XT12.
